Xana's Alteration [Part 2] -Branch 1-

"What do you think of me now...?" Xana bowed her head to prevent Daniel from seeing her tears. 1

"I think... you’re still just as beautiful. But now, you’re even more enchanting. I knew there was something more to you." Daniel smiled and cautiously approached Xana. "NO! Stay back!" She cast her wings and levitated in the air. "I have to go now, when a demon transforms and reveals themselves another can pick up on the scent, especially mine... I’m not exactly a typical demon..." 2

"What do you mean?" As if there’s such thing as a typical demon. Xana looked at him with teary eyes and landed gently on the floor.  She sat Indian-style with her hands and her lap and her head still bowed. 3

"I owe you at least an explanation then huh...? I have some time before I am detected..." Xana took in a deep breath and began she story...4

"I was born on a planet called Zenderik. It's not in this solar system for it exists in another dimension, thus rendering it impossible to find. I came to this planet as a spirit demon, so I had no form. After wondering around for a while I noticed what you humans call a Komodo Dragon. Demons and dragons are two different things so I fused with the beast and roamed around as a dragon demon. But I did not want to live my life on this planet that way. I soon learned what the dominant species and I set out to posses one. I noticed that the continent I had arrived on was riddled with too many land formations and it would make me easier to find. So I left and came here and took control of the first human new born I saw. I did not know humans matured so slowly so I agonized through the years before I was able to gain the right information about you people. I began transforming as soon as I was able to but noticed I was not able to achieve my full form. So I settled with this.... what I am now..." 5

Xana looked up at him with her piercing ice blue eyes. "Is that it Xana? Is that all to the story?" "No... There is so much more... but I don’t have time." "Why do you have to leave? Who will find you?" "Almar... He has been in search of me for 18 years now. And now that I transform more often he's getting closer and closer to finding me." 6

Xana turned and opened the window. "Thank you for not rejecting me. Someday I will return to repay you." 7

"Xana NO!" Daniel took a few hurried steps to where she was. Her hair swayed in the wind and mesmerized him. He snapped out of it and began to speak. "This is all so unreal. Xana, you were... are the love of my life, I can’t just lose you like this. I love you too much..." Xana spun and faced him. "Daniel... I long to touch your lips on mine... But it I do you will carry my scent, and I care for you too much to endanger your life."8

Xana crawled out the window at hovered next to it. She looked into the worried eyes of Daniel as he rested on the window sill. "I never thought I would find love like this while I was here. But it went too fast, and before I knew it you were involved him my life. I never even fully prepared myself for this moment. I’m sorry Daniel..." 9

"Xana... I can’t lose you..." 10

"I couldn’t resist the urge to transform and I definitely can’t resist this urge..." Xana moved closer to him and stared Daniel in the eyes before locking lips with him. She hovered in the air a few seconds before letting go. "I love you Xana... demon or not..." "And I love you too, that’s why I must do this..."11

Xana placed her palms on his chest and emitted a large energy blast that pushed him back. He slammed against the wall on the opposite side and fell to the ground unconscious. "I’m sorry... my love..."12

Xana took of into the sky at high speed, her tears blown dry by the fierce wind. I have to get out of here before Almar finds me, at least then I can save this planet and myself.13

A black vortex appeared in front of Xana in midair. She halted and shielded her eyes by crossing her arms in front of them. But the vortex wasn’t drawing her in but pushing her back. The wind blew stronger and Xana retreated back a few feet. She looked fiercely into the hole as a being began to take form. An arm extended from the hole and soon and leg the same as hers.14

Xana's eye's widened in fear as she realized who it was." Almar..." she whispered his name... "I’ve finally found you my sweet Xana. And now I shall take you back by any means necessary!" His deep voice boomed through the chill of the night air and she smiled down at her. He raised his hands in the air and showed his muscular physic. He connected his wrists and brought them down to his abdomen level, aiming them at Xana.15

"HINO KYJEN TSO!!!" Xana watched as the dragon shaped energy was released from his hands. It lit up the night sky and Xana’s faced was illuminated from the blast. She placed a simple barrier up to protect herself. But it was no use... Xana was consumed in the attack as it passed through her. She still hovered in the air, bruised from the assault. Xana looked defiantly and angrily into Almar's eyes. "YOU CANT DO THIS!" she shouted. Her fists shook violently.16

Xana's vision went blurry and she fell faint and began to fall from the sky, careening towards the ground.17
