Fly

Yes, it is true. I can fly.1

Yes. Fly. In the sky.2

It started when I was young. At first, I would just hover over things. And as the years went by, I started to move threw the air.3

My mom thought this was so wonderful. She encouraged me to fly. But she also told me to be careful, otherwise people will see me.
4

The wind glided over my face and through my hair as I flew through the cloud. The air was a bit colder up here.5

I thought of school. I thought of Mark.6

Mark.7

Mark's got black hair. Slightly tan skin. Gorgeous green eyes.8

I sighed. He would never like a girl like me. Red frizzy hair and freckles all over the place with brown eyes that are the same color as the freckles.9

Maybe if he knew I could fly....10

No. I couldn't tell anybody that.11

I looked at my watch.12

"Oh, no!" I yelled at nobody in particular. If I didn't hurry, I'd be late for school.13

I pivoted and went straight down towards the house. As I broke through the cloud I could see the bus and hear it honking.14

I not-so-gently landed in my backyard and ran through my backdoor and back out the front door.15

The bus started pulling away.16

"Wait, stop!" I yelled.17

* * *18

I had thankfully caught the bus in the nick of time.19

Sitting in math class, fiddling with my pencil, Mark walked in.20

My breath caught in my throught and I started coughing like I was choking on a softball.21

He didn't even notice me.22

"You're staring," Leslie told me. I blinked and looked at her.23

She sighed. "You have to get over that crush. He is obviously not very interested."24

She may be my best friend, but she never lies. And she's right. He has a girlfriend and he's never looked at me a day in my life.25

The annoyingly loud bell broke through my thoughts.26

Another student walked in. "Sorry I'm late," he said.27

"You must be the new student. Rory Connell. Am I correct?" Mr. Finn asked the boy.28

He nodded.29

He's pretty cute, I thought to myself. Brown hair, blue eyes, freckles that dotted his nose.30

To my luck, the only available desk left in class was behind me.31

As he passed by, I could have sworn he glanced at me. As I thought that, I felt a sort of tingle in my stomach. But I shouldn't get all caught up in this. It's probably nothing. And besides, he wouldn't want to date a freak.32

In the middle of class, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around.33

"Can I borrow a pencil?" Rory asked me.34

"Sure," I fished another pencil out of my bag and handed it to him. Our hands touched for a split second and felt that familiar tingle. His eyes flashed up to me and he blushed.35

"Bailey!" Mr. Finn yelled. "Face the front!"36

"Sorry," I muttered.37

Did he feel the tingle, too? Is that why he blushed?38

I couldn't pay attention for the rest of class.39

* * *40

I floated above my bed that night.41

I could go find him....42

Flying over to my window, I slowly opened it. The thing was so rusty, it made so much noise.43

I finally pulled it open and glided through the small window. I had never flown through town before. And I have never flown at night.44

I have no idea where this Rory lives. But I knew one place I could find out.45

The school was locked, that I knew. So I would need a plan.46

One of the teachers was still in the front office working. It was only eight o' clock. She had a window open. That's my target.47

I peeked inside. Her back was to the window. Trying not to make any noise whatsoever, I quickly and carefully flew into the school and went to the computer in the office she wasn't in.48

I typed Rory's name into the system. The thing was so old, it took forever for the file to come up. But, of course, before I could look at it, I heard the teacher get up. I must've made noise because she was heading for this office.49

I zoomed up towards the ceiling. I looked down at her as she walked in.50

She looked confused at the computer screen. Glancing around she went over to the computer.51

I moved downward and hovered behind her just enough so that I could get a glance at the address before she turned it off.52

I quickly shoved through the office door and out the window.

This was quite cute, and sounds like the beginning of something fun.

Your grammar was pretty good, besides a couple things that I am not sure were in the right tense or not I only saw one mistake.
p3 "move threw the air" should be "through"

The flying was a nice twist from the typical school romance. Thanks for entering.
