“Hello?” Coral Jorge’s voice sang through her ice blue Chocolate.1
“Hey, Coral…Clarity and I are kind of, uh, stuck in the elevator,” He said sadly.2
“Let me guess, the one by the entrance?” She said not very surprised.3
“You guessed correctly,” Kyler sighed.4
“They need to get that fixed. How long have you been in there?” 5
“Just about five minutes, with Clarity here passed out.”6
“You’ve got to be kidding me…” She took a sip from her frappachino. 7
“Are you stuck in traffic?” He asked curiously. 8
“Yes. Fuck…get out of the way!” She yelled at the car in front of her.9
“Road rage? Tsk…tsk.” Kyler shook his head in disappointment.10
“Oh, shut up,” Coral teased. “Okay, I’ll be there in a few,” she said more calmly.11
“See you in a few,” Kyler hung up his T-Mobile Sidekick LX. 12
Kyler put his ear buds in, and turned on his yellow Ipod. He started randomly singing to “Send the Pain Below” by Chevelle. He leaned his head back against the elevator wall. He brought his legs up to his chest, and wrapped his arms around them. 13
“K…Kyler?” My voice slowly called his name. I yawned and rubbed my eyes, and pulled myself up with my hands carefully. Kyler pressed pause on his Ipod, and grabbed my hand.14
“Clarity, what the hell happened?” He asked as I came completely conscious.15
“Well, obviously, I blacked out…stress overload,” I said leaning myself up against the elevator wall.16
“You know, I seriously want to just kill your mother,” He said taking off his thick-black rimmed glasses, and wiping the lenses. 17
“I agree,” I said shaking my head and smirking. 18
“Here we are…stuck in an elevator, missing class. You know, they’re going to start to think that we play hooky,” He laughed.19
“Oh well,” I shrugged my shoulders and smiled. I put my head on his shoulder, and listened to the music blaring from his headphones. My mind just relaxed, for once. It felt good, even though I was stuck in an elevator, I had never felt this relaxed. I dazed off and started tracing the red plaid design on Kyler’s shirt.20
Kyler rested his head on mine, and crossed his legs. The minutes passed and my phone rang, scaring the hell out of me. I grabbed my bag, and went into the first pocket and grabbed my phone. 21
“Hello…” I said groggily through my phone.22
“Hey!” I heard a guy’s voice that was unknown to me.23
“Who…am I talking with?” My voice sounded confused.24
“You don’t remember me?” He said disappointed. 25
“I’m sorry,” I said a bit cold.26
“Camp Paxson, summer of 2004,” He said trying to make me remember.27
I sat there for a few seconds, and then lifted my back off the elevator wall in shock. Kyler’s head fell off my head, and it woke him up.28
“What’s wrong?” Kyler yawned.29
I put my finger up to his lips, telling him to be quiet.30
“Renji? Renji Moore?” I asked surprised.31
“Yes!” He shouted excitedly. 32
“Oh my god! How did you get a hold of me?” I asked curiously. 33
“It’s a long story…what’s important is that I got a hold of you,” he said smiling. 34
“True. Where are you?” 35
“South Carolina,” he said in a bored voice.36
“Ah. Still doing that traveling, I see,”37
“Well, I asked my parents if we could just stay somewhere and be stable,” Renji said.38
“Oh…well where do you want to-” The elevator jerked, and soon enough it was back and running. 39
“You there? What happened?” He asked worriedly. 40
“School, stuck in the elevator…it just got back up,” She shook her head and giggled. “Let me catch up with you later, I have to get to class soon.” 41
“Will do. It’s really nice talking to you, again,” He said sighing happily.42
“Same,” I said smiling, and hung up my phone. I stood up and grabbed my bag. Kyler got up with me and looked at me strange.43
“Who is this Renji you speak of?” He said turning off his Ipod and slipped it back in his messenger bag. 44
“Back in the summer of 2004, we went to this camp here in North Carolina. He was my best friend, and when it ended in late July, it was the last time we thought we would see each other,” She said putting her bag on her shoulder, and pushed four on the elevator floor list. 45
“I bet he has a thing for you,” Kyler teased me.46
I stuck my tongue out at him “Yeah, yeah,” I laughed.47
He took his hands and fixed my blue beret, “Honey, this is so messed up. How do you get your hair pieces so messed up, so quickly?” He said like it was something so absurd. 48
The elevator dinged and we went out into the hallway. It was eleven o` clock, and classes had changed by now. I opened the door to Mr. Shore’s creative writing class, and everyone looked up at Kyler and I, and I bit my lip.49
“Late, are we?” Mr. Shore said putting down his signature blue pen. 50
“Sir, we got stuck in an elevator,” My voice sounded a bit aggravated. 51
He mumbled to himself, “Alright then…take your seats, and work on your Monday assignment,” he said a little annoyed. 52
I took my seat, which was right beside Coral’s. Coral made it before us, obviously. 53
“Rough morning?” She asked in a whispered voice.54
I shook my head yes, and pulled out my purple writing folder. I grabbed my signature purple pen, and opened my folder. I sighed deeply and let my thoughts focus on my paper. I was planning on writing something based on a world, but my thoughts went otherwise. I wanted to write something murderous, dangerous, horrific. 55
I started with one word, and it all just kept flowing. I couldn’t stop writing, my hand had like the energizer bunny in it. I pictured everything so vivid, and it was playing in my mind like a movie. The sensation of it all flowing through my veins. 56
“Clarity?” Coral’s voice rang through my ears.57
I shook my head and kept on writing, Coral giving me an odd look. 58
“Clarity…it’s time to go to lunch,” she said trying to get me out of my writing mode.59
“Shhh!” I said coldly. Coral sat back down and sighed, playing with her blue scarf. 60
“Ladies?” Mr. Shore raised a gray eyebrow, picking up his coffee mug and leaned up against his desk.61
“Shore, Clarity will not stop writing…she’s blocking us out,” Coral adjusted her pink, plaid belted woven shirt. 62
Mr. Shore sighed and placed his coffee mug back on his desk and walked over to them. “Coral, you may leave…Clarity will see you in a few,” he said pointing to the door.63
“Yes, Shore,” Coral said picking up her Hello Kitty tote. Coral left the room, and closed the door silently. 64
Mr. Shore stood beside me, observing my writing. “You got a lot done in such a short time,” he said amazed. “Do you have the report you had to finish last night?” He asked curiously, but that was a question to the obvious. 65
I stopped my hand, and looked up to Mr. Shore, “May I help you?” 66
Mr. Shore widened his eyes, “Didn’t you here anything I just said?”67
“No, sir, I did not. Sorry,” I said apologetically.68
“What is going on in your mind, Clarity?” He asked sitting down across from me.69
“Well, sir, I started to write and I guess I just went too deep in my writing,” I said putting it in my folder, but before I closed it Mr. Shore grabbed my folder. 70
“Clarity, I’m going to read you writes. No, I’m not asking to, I’m tell you,” He said closing my folder and held it in his hands. 71
“Okay, if you want to,” I said a bit worried. I picked up my black and white striped Roxy bag. 72
“I do. Now, head off to lunch. I’ll see you tomorrow, Clarity,” He said walking back to his desk. 73
I went to the door, and carefully opened it. I walked down the hallway, and turned to the left. Artwork hung up on the walls, and the first one was mine. It was an abstract art piece, and it’s going to be in the upcoming art show. I walked past the window looking in the cafeteria, and quickly ran to the line and got to Coral and Kyler. The smell of the school lunch crawled into my nose, and I almost gagged. 74
“Mmm…I see you made it through,” Kyler teased. 75
I rolled my gray blue eyes and smiled, “Yea, well, Mr. Shore wants to read my writes,” I said biting my lip. 76
“Oh, come on, it can’t be that bad? He can see what a excellent writer you are,” Coral said grabbing a Dragon Fruit flavored Vitamin Water. 77
“I hope not, what if he thinks…that stuff…is well…” I paused grabbing myself a Dragon Fruit flavored Vitamin Water. 78
“Is well, what?” Kyler grabbed a Lemonade flavored Vitamin Water.79
“Real..” I said looking down at the floor. 80
“Oh really now, Clarity…come on, real? I think he’s been teaching long enough to know the difference between fiction and non-fiction,” Kyler rolled his eyes. 81
“You think?” I said punching in my ID number, and paid the lady for my Vitamin water. 82
“Yes!” Coral and Kyler shouted simultaneously. 83
We walked in the cafeteria and sat down at our usual table, number eighteen. The table was the main color of our school, royal blue. The chairs were kelly green, the other color of our school colors. In the center of the table it had our mascot, a Seahawk. I slid in one of the four chairs around the table, and leaned back. I felt as if everyone was staring at me, each glaring at me like I was some alien. Although, it must have been my imagination. What could have gone around that fast? Nothing, nothing could have. 84
I tapped my long fingernails against the table, and sighed. 85
“You’re very quiet today, Clarity,” Coral said picking at her sky blue nails.86
“Yeah, so,” I said looking up at her. 87
“And feisty, what’s up?” She said sounding concerned. 88
“She had a rough morning, Coral,” Kyler said slowly tapping his Vitamin Water bottle, “You know that.”89
“Oh, right,” Coral said taking a sip of Dragon Fruit.90
“Are you working tonight?” Kyler asked me.91
“Of course…it’s Monday,” I said like it should have been obvious.92
“When are you getting off?” Coral asked suspiciously. 93
“I have to be there at five thirtyish and I leave at eleven.”94
The intercom interrupted them and our principal’s voice went through, “All students please report the auditorium, now. Thank you,” He sounded serious. 95
Kyler, Coral, and I looked at each other with curious faces. I stood up and Coral and Kyler followed beside me, linking arms with each other. 96
“This day keeps getting better, doesn’t it?” I said sarcastically.97
“You know it,” Coral said in the same tone. 98
Kyler shook his head and smiled as we entered the full auditorium, and took the last three seats in the back row. I just happened to sit near the bitchiest girl in the school, Talena Robertso. She was applying her Stila lip polish shine, her face in the silver compact she was holding up with her freshly manicured nails. She turned her make up done face towards me, and wrinkled her nose in disgust. I gave her a sweet, innocent smile and sat down in the chair with a smirk laying across my face. 99
“Why are you sitting here?” She said placing her compact mirror in her magenta Louis Vuitton bag. 100
“Because we wanted to…why do you care?” I asked not really caring.101
“I’m waiting for Jake…my boyfriend,” She said throwing it up in my face like as if she got a new, more expensive Prada bag.102
“Oh,” I said looking down, as flashbacks of when Jake and I were together for those wonderful two year. We were like couple of the year, but then he changed on me. Oh well.103
“Aww, is someone jealous?” She said giving me a fake puppy dog look.104
I laughed, “No,” I said shaking my head like she was a fool. She rolled her eyes at me and placed her purse on the floor. 105
“Whatever,” She said crossing her legs. 106
I put in a piece of Stride spearmint flavored gum in my mouth, and blew a few bubbles. Once it was sticky enough I raised my arms in the air to make it look like I was stretching. and what I was about to do was the most obvious. Talena, the blond she was, plus talking on her EnV3 made it less obvious. I dropped the gum perfectly on her hair, and smiled at her. 107
“Check 1,2, 3,” Principal Carter said checking the microphone. Talena pressed end on her phone, and looked ahead at Principal Carter. 108
“We have some bad news to inform you, the student body…” He sighed. “One of your top athletes, best friend, one of the smartest students,” I giggled when he said smart, “recently died in a shoot out this morning.” Every girl, and guy, gasped with total sadness. 109
I looked over at Kyler and Coral, they were bored. I poked Coral and she looked at me, then started to laugh. “Clarity…you are the most wicked person I ever met,” she shook her head with a smirk. 110
I looked over at Talena and she sat up in total shock, rubbed her hand through her hair, and that’s when that gum went right through her hair. I could see the rage building up inside of her, I waved my fingers and smiled. 111
“I got gum in my hair!!” She said, and I swore I saw a tear coming out of her eye.112
“What, your Jakey-poo isn’t going to be beside you,” I said giving her the same fake puppy dog look.113
“No, I got gum in my hair!” She said taking out her compact mirror. 114
I roared with laughter and smiled looking at Kyler and Clarity, “This day just got better.”115
"How so?" Kyler stuck his tongue out at me.116
"Well I got a phone call from a long lost best friend. An asshole died. Plus, I made Talena Robertso mad as hell," I said with an evil grin. 117
"So, who is going to die next?" Coral laughed. 118
I raised my eyebrows and smirked, "That's easy," I said evilly, leaning back in my chair. 119

I love it! Sooo who dies next? Nooo don't tell me. *runs to read next chapter* *runs back in* Sorry my comment is...
Very engroeeing and entertaining. The plot thickens and I cannot wait to see what happenes next. Awesome job! -
Coral! And now we meet her! ^__^ lol, she's in traffic... What's up with these kids not getting to school on time? (Well, Clarity has a passing ticket -- her Mother's lazy butt... *cough* Oh, sorry about that...)
Hm... instead of attending to the one that fainted... he's listening to his Ipod... *wavers on the comment about liking him* Oh well.
I still like him. How in the world did Clover get there first? *ponders it over*
Lol, we've a horror fiction writer here! I wonder how she's going to do that... The teacher isn't giving her some space! *eek!* He's disrupting the flow, isn't he? *glares at the teacher*
Lol, Kyler! *smiles brightly
* Okays, the real vs. the unreal thing that's going on... I'm confused. Is Clarity writing about her own little world? *wonders* This is interesting by the way. Each character's collaborating with one another... *Her teacher taking her "writing" to go and read it. Lol, that's different - a seahawk?
Jake?! Oooooo! I want to see him! xD Of course, it counts as another different personality, but yeah. How'd he change? Explain yourself. Lol, Talena... the blond. xD OMG... a shoot?! This is realistic... *shock is on face right now* LOL! I can't believe that I missed that... *reread over the thing about Jake being Talena's bf*
Oooo... the end makes me wonder. xD Great writing so far! I love how all of your main & side characters get together to make this interesting chapter.
So yesh... I applaud you handsomely for this one.

Another well written piece. It is intriguing and kept me ensnared, trust me this is not an easy task at present. You are very creative with the names. This will make the characters more memorable. The characters again are well definited and have distinct personalities all their own. A few minor typos, but nothing to take away from the story. I look forward to the next chapter. Brilliant write.
