What 'The Underword' has, which 'Hell' doesn't

'It really was quite funny', Hades mused as he patted one of Cerberus' heads idly, 'what a difference a simple name change could have on a place.' Just last week, he had changed the name of his kingdom, from 'The Underworld' to 'Hell', and his lackeys were still busy changing all the signs and things. Just then came a knock on the door.1

"Enter!" Hades called, calming the head of Cerberus which had risen up, growling. The head subsided as the door opened, and one of Hades' lackeys entered nervously. He dropped down to his hands and knees, and crawled towards Hades, stopping when Cerberus growled again.2

"Oh glorified Master, strongest of the Big Three," he fell silent at once as Hades stood up, towering over him.3

"Enough," Hades rumbled, "what do you have to say?"4

The lackey gulped, but spoke to the floor. "I was down by the simile pens,"5

Hades interupted, "The whats?" he asked. He'd never heard of them before. 6

"Uh, they're a new idea we had. We keep some of the furies- the ones which are most like a particular thing the people are afraid of in them. But, umm, one of them seems to have vanished."7

"Which one?" Hades asked, fire lacing his words.
