"Jane! He's on his way here! Are you almost done?" Kara's voice from downstairs yelled. I looked at myself in the mirror. I am going on my first date in a dress. Not to mention high-heels. Yes, of corse my sister had to make me wear high-heels. I have never worn high-heels in my life, but I've worn a dress four times in my sixteen years of living. Pretty rediculous right? I looked into the mirror and decided it was time. I walked down the stairs, stepping one foot over the other. I tried to sway my hips too. Justin only liked preppy girls, which I have no idea why he would pick me. I walked down to see Justin waiting at the door with Kara. He gave me a wide grin. My cheeks lit up brightly. I walked to him and he took me hand. 2

"Ready?" he asked. I nodded my head swiftly. I stumbled down to the Diner with him. I was careful enough not to tower over onto him. By the time we got there my feet were killing me. Each step was dreadful. He gently led me, by holding my hand, to a booth. I sat down, trying not to let my dress slide up. He smiled to me. I grinned to him happily. Then, his eyes locked onto something. I followed them to see Laina. My heart stopped.4

'Oh no,' I thought. She walked over to us and sat down next to Justin. "Hey Jane. How's life?" she asked nicely. I was confused, she's never nice to me. Just go along with it Janey... 6

"Life is okay. How bout' you?" I replied.8

"Good. Good." She glanced to Justin, suddenly she got up. She walked away. I couldn't see her anymore. Justin leaned to me. I felt my stomach getting all bubbly. He looked me in the eyes. I wanted to kiss him so bad. Like really badly! I felt my body losing control to my mind. I gently pressed my lips against his lips. I saw a flash from my pereferable vision. I glanced over to the flash. It was Laina holding a camera in hand. 10

"Yes! I finally got the hot jock kissing a geek picture for the year book!" she continued, "thanks Justin, you can go now." 12

He then got up and left. I sat there speechless.14
