The day everything went downhill: chapter six

Finally, the police and an ambulance showed up in front of his house. They loaded up his mother and told him to just follow or meet them at the hospital. He then got in his truck and sat there, just taking everything in. He didn't know what to do. He wasn't there for Amber before she passed, so if anything was going to happen to his mom, he was going to be there. No questions asked. He headed off to the hospital. 1

When he got there, he told the lady at the front desk, who just so happened to be the same one working the day before, what was happening and that he needed to be with his mother. She wouldn't allow him to do this. He begged and pleaded with her. She only said that she would contact him if there was any information she could share with him about his mother came along and to leave a number. David was more than pissed. He was enraged. He needed to get out of this place. He went on another drive in the country. This time he ended up at the place where him and Amber went on there last date.................2

It was just them. They were laying in the truck bed on his truck. Laying there under the stars. Talking, dreaming, just being together. They talked about everything from their favorite ice cream flavor, to the stupidest pick up line, to the hardest time in their lives, to the day Amber's dad died. It was every girls dream and David knew that. He wanted Amber to have the world and everything more there was. They both knew, either way, with each other, everything was going to be alright..................................................3

The date ended quick early the next morning when Davids mom called and told him that his dad had passed out on the front steps and she needed some help getting him in. David took Amber home and went to help. This was the best date he'd ever been on and he knew once again, she was the one for him.4
