As the bomb timer continued to tick down, I felt a sense of futility. The screen read 0:15. In other words, 15 seconds until 'bye-bye time.' This was it. My life was over. That is...until it happened.1
I never knew someone could kick something so far, The bomb flew out of my hands and right out the window. I was on the 15th floor and I heard it explode while it was still in the air.2
"Did ya see it fly?"3
I jumped not expecting the voice to be so close to my ear. When I turned my head to the side a boy was crouched next to me. He was clearly excited about what he'd done because he was grinning from ear to ear.4
"I could make an awsome mid-fielder" he commented standing up and pretending to kick a ball out the window. I starred in disbelief, last time I checked my Dad and Mother(both not my real parents) had left me in this loungue room with an early christmas present. 'It will be a big suprise' my mum had said, and it definately was... After all not many 14 year olds get a timer bomb for christmas, and even fewer are locked in a 15th story hotel room at the time.5
"Uh...Your not hurt are ya?"6
The question snapped me back to reality and I found myself scowling and smiling at the same time.7
"Thats an odd look" he told me, while I'd been daydreaming he'd made himself comfortable on the carpet in front of me.8
The silence between me and him began to irritate me, although I was the kind of person who rarely talked to people.9
"Whats your name?" I asked.10
He starred at me then sighed "Vayre Nittle"11
Nittle?! that was the name of a writer I remembered. He'd written a series called 'Bewolfers'.12
Was he really the author of such a book, I mean...he looked the same age as me...But for some reason i could tell he wasn't lying.13
"I'm Faye" I said simply hoping he wouldn't pick up on the obvious lack of last name, to my suprise he didn't. Instead he asked something else.14
"So, Are you a terrorist?"15
The question suprised me and I actually got angry, still tense from what had happened moments ago.16
"Why would I be a terrorist?!"17
I had a habbit of snapping then appolagising, but he seemed to find it amusing.18
"In the scene of the failed crime the suspect locked herself in the room and attempted to blow up the West Croe Hotel"19
Even though I knew he was making me the suspect I had to laugh when he put it in the serious detective voice. Vayre laughed too.20
"So...your a soccor star, Daredevil and Detective are you?" I asked when we'd both stopped, he shook his head and corrected me.21
Author notes

Nice job! Looks like I wasn't much help with the writer's block though, you came up with something different!
