Okay I am sorry if this is going to annoy people but at the moment I really just don't care.
At the moment I am so sick of hearing about Twilight. I am sick of the articles and the stories and the random people who talk about it constantly. Now I agree that it is a good book series and an okay movie, but I do not need to hear about everything. I confess I used to live to hear about the series, the books, the movie, the actors, yeah, you had your stereotypically obsessed teenager. I guess I owe an apology to my family, friends, and fellow storywritians who had to put up with the obsession. Yet if I hear another teenage girl go on about how Edward is so perfect and he's mine I might scream! I really can't believe that I was like that!
I am sick of all the Vampire books that have appeared out of the sudden Vampire craze, sure Vampires are my favorite supernatural creature and I am to be blamed for writing stories with them but I am so sick of everyone with books about Vampires. Where there is no more storyline then "OMG IT'S A Vampire!!!!" I have resorted to reading romance books to escape them. Now there are some good books to have come out of this craze but there are only a few. 1
If anyone has any good books that don't involve Vampires for the moment I will be happy to know the name!!2
I'm also sorry about people who are liking this sudden interest in Vampiric literature, that is your choice, I am like you in so many ways, I usually love a good Vampire book, but please, remember the days of about two years ago, god I could so watch another Zombie movie right now.
Author notes
Sorry but come on can you go to the book store now days and not see a section where there are vampire books?

I agree with you on the Twilight bit...I love Twiligth and I freely admit it but I don't go on ENDLESSLY (or really at all) about it. And I've liked vampires since before they were cool...you know when you were a real freak for liking them AND I MISS THOSE DAYS!!! I don't WANT to be normal and now its all "Oh you like vampires? I like vampires too! I like Edward!" and thats. It. GAHHH!! *rips hair out*
Can I recommend Uglies, Pretties, Specials, and Extras? They are NOT about Vampires but they are VERY good books!!

I can feel some of your pain. I like the books. But I hate how teens are super obsessed and constantly talk about them like they're their God. What gets me is I can't hardly look anywhere without seeing a "Teen Vampire Romance". Where did all the mature vampire writers go?
Now if you're looking for something new, I will suggest two of my favorite series of books.
The Dark-Hunter novels by Sherrilyn Kenyon. They're paranormal romance and heavily steeped in Greek Mythology. The first, though unofficial, book in the series is called Fantasy Lover. If you want to learn more check out the website, dark-hunter.com
And The Legend of Drizzt by R. A. Salvatore. It's a fantasy series about a Dark Elf and the group of friends and allies that he has. It's interesting to note, because Drizzt is a "Good and moral person" when the rest of his race are evil.
Both are kind of adult oriented but I started reading them when I was about your age. Younger in regards to The Legend of Drizzt series.
I hope Twilight hasn't ruined vampires for you forever. -

You should read Warriors or Harry Potter! They are both good series. (My mom says I'm not allowed to read Twilight but now I don't give a crap about it)

I totally agree with you. There are some girls in my class that are Twilight obsessed and swarm over the twilight directors notebook. It's almost like *yawn* That ship has sailed! Find a new one to catch. A new series that I have fallen in love with and is riddeled with suprising plot twists and in-depth characters is the sword of truth series by Terry Goodkind. 11 books in total. The first is titled The Wizard's First Rule. Absoloutely brilliant in my opinion. Is Fantasy/Adventure. Hope thta helped!

I hate it when people hear the word vampire and naturally assume its twilight. Pisses me off.
