Matthew Shepard: A young gay college student who gets dragged out to a field and bashed to death by two homophobes, Russell Henderson and Aaron McKinney1
As they dragged him out to the small closed field, muffled screams flew through the wind. Chills swept down Matthew’s body as Russell Henderson and Aaron McKinney dragged him further across the grass and recklessly tied him up to the wooden fence surrounding the paddock. 2
“Help!” He screamed to the earth. But as far as he could tell, no one would be helping. Matthew was crying at this point, his face bleeding as the two guys beat him with their guns, growling at Matthew like lions. They began with kicks and punches, continuing until he lay unconscious.3
Dead silence passed as Matthew lay in the field, unmoving, not to be found until the next day.4
Around 5-6am a police officer drove out to the field to find Matthew still laying on the ground, face covered in blood. Tears stream down Matthew’s still alive face, as he slowly dies from last night’s torture…5
“Thank-you for coming.” Said Mrs Shepard as the guests arrived at the funeral. Everyone was now gathered inside, and music started playing, as everyone sang along. 6
Russell and Aaron were sentenced to go to court, the judge found them guilty and they were sentenced to a death penalty. 7

This is terrible. Not your story, but the subject of it.
I know it didn't happen only in America then, also in other countries. And it still happens. This had to stop right away.

I heard of this years ago. It was such a horrible thing that these two guys did to Matthew Shepard, just because of his sexuality. It's not right but it's reality and things like this do happen. There's also a song about this that I heard from a band: it's called "And Sadness Will Sear" by Trivium. You should check it out.
