Since you are reading this you must have highlighted the page. Do you feel clever now? 2
What puzzles me the most is that you are reading this poem after such a long time of it being up. Yes, I only added this little treat recently! Actually, the original idea was that this would be hear from the start, but due to an unfortunate copy-paste incident, I lost the beginning. But after reviving it as best as I could, I put it back on!3
Now, on with the story!4
Once upon a time... No, too cliché.
5
It started with a crazy man called David... No, far to “straight into it!” SIDE NOTE: David is anything but straight.6
I think I’ll just do what most of you do! BITCH ABOUT COMPLETE CRAP!7
Now, I will begin with what my last few comments have been saying. This is for all you people who say that society is “breaking down pillar by pillar.” It’s not. It might, when all you bitchers and moaners finally scramble up to power, but until then rest easy. Living during the twenty-first century doesn’t get much better then this. Compared to the other twenty, it is the best. Oh how I’d love you shove all you bitching pussys’ back into the Middle Ages. Then you would have something to cry about, instead of pretending to be depressed to gain some attention. Newsflash, depression is a mental illness, most people who suffer from it, don’t know they have it. Being friends with a razor blade for attention is not depressed. Your “depression” that you’re suffering from, is your laziness and how you can’t get of your arse and get over it. 8
What I find most interesting, is that people who shun the whole "depressed" theme are people who were, until very recently, in there stage of "depression". I could list names, but people are already angry enough as it is.9
Now, back to society. Yes, all you people bitching about society and how it is "crashing down pillar by pillar"; you should know that YOU ARE SOCIETY! What you do, and how you interact with the rest of the people is how society functions. 10
You say that is crashing down and falling apart... Well, it will! With all you annoying little teens complaining about how unjust and screwed it all is gets thrown into reality. Due to the fact that you are still in compulsory schooling, you have only had glimpses into the future of your life, and with the pathetic attitude you have at the moment, it wouldn't be surprising if society did crash. But I very much doubt it, since you bitchers, moaners and complainers are in a minority.11
The way the people function on the Earth and how they interact with each other is at it's greatest strength right now! The "world" during the twenty-first century is the best so far. Yes, you do have the evils, but there is far more good stuff to weigh it up with! You morbid trash are always focused on the bad stuff, and fail to see all the great stuff that is happening around you. 12
I have made my point, if anyone would like to argue with me on the subject, I will be waiting.13
Next, people who blame the "world" for all their problems. The Earth, or World, is a lump of rock, metal and other elements. It has nothing to do with the simple insignificant life you are living out pathetically. The person you should be blaming is yourself! You can't be bothered to get of your arse and do something about it yourself! You always expect someone/thing else to fix it all! And now, I have my first quote;14
"We are all afflicted with a Lone Ranger syndrome, a belief in the masked stranger who arrives well armed at dawn and settles problems in a straightforward simplistic manner. The character, whose origin stretches back to the tenth century, owes his longevity to the fact that he connects with our most primal impulses, and represents the way we truly would be, if only we could. That we cannot results not only from a lack of courage and ability, but also because the world is simply not built that way. When the night is dark and the storm closes on, one had best be prepared to help himself. Because as surely as the stars wheel overhead there will be no one else, masked or otherwise."15
-Gregory MacAllister16
In other words, you fix it, no one else will.17
Next! Writers’ Block! 18
Writers’ block doesn’t exist. What you all consider writers’ block is something else. You see, you need to let your ideas grow and form before you even reach for a pen. Trying to force stuff out is just stupid. The most noticeable of this are people who have about 200 poems on their AP page. About 85% are complete crap, most bitching or whinging about something. However, people who have been on the site for a long time but have few poems are normally the best. However, I will give you the simple fact to cling on that there are exceptions. Please consider yourself one if it stops you writing crap.19
I have finished my argument for the day. Hopefully you will be stirred into anger and start shouting at me. Shall we see if you can pass your point across, or will it just be a simple fact that you have none?20
Enigmartist, out!21
Am I wasting precious web space now Nick?22

I don't believe I ever said anything about the child being at fault. I don't remember. Nor do I care very much, because I can't remember.
-
Munchausen Syndrome is rare mental disorder. It's said it may be caused from neglect, as you said, but this isn't certain. Also, I know you weren't saying this, but, it isn't the child's fault if neglection from their parents has caused such an illness.

Ah, I see. My holidays are going alright, a bit boring though. I've been participating in the monthly Yu-Gi-Oh tournaments that my brother goes to, just to break up the monotony.
Anyway, I must have misinterpreted what you said (I don't remember, it was quite a long time ago).
Oh, and Travis, this is not meant to offend in any way, or to "call you out" (e.g. to challenge you to a fight), but, yes, there are many people who fake depression just to get attention on this site. I believe that these people do not truly have depression, but they have a somewhat mutated form of Munchausen's Syndrome, in a way. There are genuinely depressed people, and I would include myself there, but I no longer see the need to bitch about "the world sucks, the world is shit". The only reason that I know I'm depressed is because I was diagnosed with depression a couple of years back, and, believe me, it never truly goes away. Just like that mutated Munchausen's Syndrome-type thing that I was on about.
-Nick
P.S. If you did not know already, Travis, Munchausen's is a mentail illness brought upon by neglect (almost always from a parent or family member) that causes a person to fake illness, just for attention. -
Hi, Nick.
I just read ur comment on this and thought I should explain myself. When I said that the people who are truely sick (depressed) would get offended from this piece I meant Travis's work, not my comment. I think you thought I meant to other way around, either that or I'm very confused..
But yeah..I wasn't trying to offend people and I doubt believe Travis was either, even if we did. Just having our opinions, as so many others do when they write about 'the world is terrible, DARKNESS DARKNESS DARKNESS!'
Anyway, how have ur holidays been?

Wouldn't it be Hypocritical?
Anyway, you call this one-sided; yes it probably is, but saying that society is collapsing and that the "world" (those quotation marks are huge; just a note) sucks is too.
And as toward people getting offended toward Annie's comment, would it matter what she said? If she'd said that this piece of writing is complete crap and should be printed out, sprinkled with holy water and banished to the fire, there would be at least one person saying she was wrong i.e. they think it's a good piece of work. I don't agree with either. These are my opinions, not the law, I'm not saying they are right; everyone bow down to them, I'm just giving an honest opinion.
If you don't like it, it's not my problem. If you agree, you'll feel good that someone else in the world has the same views, if you hate it, you'll feel good knowing that your disagreeing with some thing heinous.
I haven't forced anyone to view this, it's completely up to the person who views it to whether they'll hit the back button, or leave a nice comment. Like I've said above:
"Shall we see if you can pass your point across, or will it just be a simple fact that you have none?"

Lalala, let's all force ourselves to be happy.
What a one-sided view of humanity this is. -
Why did Annie even say that if she knows that people would get offended? That's just being ignorant, in my opinion. No offense meant.
And, Travis, with the amount of these worthless 2kb pages on this site, they'd take up about as much webspace as the supposed "bitching", as you called it. It's ignorance on your part to call it bitching.
-Nick -
HEAR HEAR! This is the best thing I've read in a long time (as in reading someone's opinion) I agree with most things you've said, even though I'm guilty of believing in writers blocks! But as you said we can't force inspiration to appear and often we do have to write on the spot in Creative writing and it just doesn't come!
Oh yeah, and too many people take advantage of a serious illness, Depression. These days it's hard to tell who's digging around for attention and who's actually suffering. Plus it's unfair on the people that truely are sick because often pieces like this one can offend them greatly.
I could go on and on ...but I think you've explained it better than i ever will
Well done Trav!
Annie -
I wasn't picking on anyone. And don't get me started on the subject. Nup, too late, gottta go add another paragraph.
-
Oh, I'm sorry! Did I ruin the website by putting a tiny little 2Kb on?
Meanwhile, the site is bogged down by about 4GB of people whigning and bitching about crap.
~The Enigmartist~ -
Travi, it so does exist...don't pick on people that get writers block!
-
Please don't waste web space.
