“Allie, you’re going to marry that boy someday.” Stated my father, matter-of-factly. I just smiled. It wasn’t the first time I’ve heard those words. Though, each time I heard that sentence, it just made me happier and happier. And you know what? They might just be right.1
***************************************************************************************2
I’ll never forget the first time I actually held a conversation with him. I suppose we met when we were both two, but I don’t count that. We were five when we had that oh so special exchange of words, that made us the best of friends that we were now.3
He was on his new and shiny batman bike riding circles around me. “What’s your name?” He asked, in his curious and cute little voice.4
I looked up and was greeted with the bluest pair of eyes I have ever seen. "Aileen Rose Lavette. What about you?" I asked him, I was just as curious as the blue eyed boy in front of me.5
"Asher James Smith." He stated proudly. I nodded and continued drawing in chalk on the street. "Want to know something Aileen?" He asked me.6
"Okay." I said quietly and nodding.7
"You're pretty." I loved his sweet little innocent voice he had.8
I smiled at him, "You are too!" I squeled. He returned the happiness by smiling his excellent smile at me for the first time, with many to come.9

Now we were both fresh and new teenagers, only thirteen. I never told him or anyone, that I still remember him calling me pretty that warm, sunny June day. Only now we were in the middle of May, making presents for our Mothers.11
"Lena!" He called. He was the only one who dared calling me by that name. I was known as Allie to everyone else.12
I rolled my brown eyes. "What?" I shouted to him. I was in his backyard gathering flowers for my mom, he used flowers from my yard for his.13
"I need help!"' 14
I sighed, "Ash, I just helped you, again." If I helped him it would be the fourth time. Last time, he asked how to use the hot glue gun.15
"Please?" I let out a grunt and ran to meet him in my garage. "Thank you Lena." He said when he saw me.16
"Well?" I said, I was clearly annoyed now.17
"What's the best color paper for the card?"18
My jaw dropped at the stupidity of his question. "You're such a 'tard."19
"What? I don't know how girls think. You're the closest thing!"20
"*bunny*." I mumbled under my breath. It was just a joke, and he always knew that. "Pink or purple is best for Mother's Day. Try to avoid darker colors." What can I say? I'm a genious.21
He smiled, that melting smile of his. "Thank y-"22
"Whatever. Now if you're done dummy, start putting things away." I demanded. I wasn't always this way, only when he pissed me off.23
"Yes Ma'am." He said in the smart tone he got. 24
I sighed and sat down on a step waiting for him, thinking about him. He was the most popular guy in our grade. And well, I was for the girls. People were always bugging us to go out, become an 'item.' We've explained to everyone, we're just good friends. Though, I wish we were more.25
"Alright Lena, I'm done." He said, walking out of my garage. He smiled at me. I couldn't help but wonder, what did it mean?26
"What?" I asked him, confused.27
He shook his head, causing his dark brown hair to shake. "Never mind." He said, then looking past me. "So Lena, what do you want to do next?"28
"Hmm, we could get an umbrella and jump off my roof."29
He thought for a moment. "The low or higher part?"30
"Dumb *bunny*! The low part." I laughed.31
He laughed then nodded. "Okay, okay. Sure." And that's how the rest of the day went on. Doing random things.32

It was two hours past midnight, when I finally flopped onto my bed, worn out from today's events. Everytime I shut my eyes, I saw one face in my mind, Asher. I didn't mind it. His blue orbs were as bright as the sky's blue. It took me a while before I finally fell asleep. Because finally, reality was better than my dreams. 34
Then I heard the rocks, hitting my window. "What the hell?" I said, under my breath. I slowly stood up and opened the curtains. Revealing Asher. Whoa, this is so...amazing. I thought.35
I openned my window and whispered, "Ash, what are you doing?"36
"Just come out here, I'll throw you the umbrella." He said, smiling and waving the umbrella. I nodded and caught it. Since my window had no screen, I just jumped.37
"Okay, Ash what?" 38
"I have to tell you something." I motioned him to go on as I was adapting to the cool chill outside. "In the tree house." He said, pointing to old house that rested up on a tree, right between out backyards. 39
I followed him in there. "Okay spill, Ash. I'm tired." I said, yawning.40
"Aileen," He paused. He never said my full name unless it was serious. "I love you."41
My hands flew up to cover my mouth. Did he really just say the L word? To me? "R-really?" I asked, shocked. He just let out a slow nod. I bit my lip. "Well, that works out. Because I think I love you too." 42
We talked until the morning, and then I realized I was in big trouble. What would I tell my dad or mom? "Ash I've got to go. Sorry."43
"Okay, bye. Love you." He said grinning, he gave me a hug, and I kissed his cheek.44
I knocked on the front door. My Dad answered it, just my luck. "Where were you?" He demanded.45
I took a deep breath. "With Asher."46
He shook his head and smiled. “Allie, you’re going to marry that boy someday. I knew this would happen sooner or later."47
