I don't know how the minds of other folks work. I mean, that kind of thing is a secret better left that way. But, what I do know, is that Logic and Imagination reside in everyone's mind together at least at some point in their lives. They bicker like dogs over every issue, no matter how trivial. Even my old friends Facts and Opinions have even taken up in this foolish "war", and I intend to get this matter out of the way.1
It all started when I was seven or so, and a heated debate come among them during the Christmas break. It all began when my friend blankly stated that Santa Claus did not exsist.2
"That's correct!" Logic piped up excitedly.3
"No it ain't!" Imagination squealed in digust.4
"Facts says that it's impossible. Right, Facts?"5
In the dustiest corner of my mind, Facts looked up from his typewriter and nodded quickly. He rarely did anything but that.6
"See if you get any presents this year, ya old Scrooge." Imagination grumbled as she continued to write about unicorns.7
"We can't receive any presents because we are just nonphysical concepts of the human mind and cannot partake in the exchange of physical matter. Isn't that right, Facts?"8
There came another nod from the corner.9
In fact, the combined efforts of Facts and Logic were like gnats gnawing on Imagination's ears. She hated both their nonphysical guts.10
"Fine! If you want to ruin Christmas just like you did Easter, then go ahead! See if I care!" There than came the usual routine of slipping on headphones angrily. (If that was even possible) I'll tell you, though, grump-bucket imaginations are no fun.11
Logic could only shake his head and chuckle "You poor misguided non-physical theory. I pity your entrapment in your delusional world in isolation from any understanding of the truth."12
There came a hush in the mind as Imagination contemplated her answer.13
"I pity your overall blandness. No one wants to be near you. You scream at every movie and book about how that plot or that action scene was impossible. You whine like an infant at every impossibility in someone else's design! You even argue about jokes, for Pete's sake!"14
"Bananas can't talk!"15
"My case in point, Logic. You simply can't understand fiction."16
"I can't understand your pointless nonsense!"17
That's when the non-physical fist-fight stared. 18
In order to prevent any further mind damage to any party involved, I have placed an electric fence right in the center of my brain. My poor, poor, brain has now a 'left' and 'right' side. (Logic likes to call them 'hemispheres', but I have a bad habit of ignoring him.) Nevertheless, I still hear them screaming while I'm still deep in thought. After all, no human can live with them, or without them.
Which is the stronger hemisphere in your brain?

Right brain
I loved this story. It describes my mind so well! Except with me, many sides have joined the fight. I feel like a Congress in my head debates everything I say or do. >.<beginning: 5, language: 5, plot: 5, ending: 5, dialog: 5, characters: 5.

Logics used to rule but he's on vacation for the time being, actually he got beat up by Imagination who has a mean streak and is in the hospital in a body cast--but, Imagination calls it a vacation. Facts isn't allowed to speak unless spoken to first and Opinions is afraid of Imaginations and keeps quiet most of the time, hoping she won't notice him. Lol. I liked reading this and except for the word Habit which only has 1 b it reads very well. Kudos to you.

Glad to see that Imagination has usurped the throne XD (Thanks for catching that, by the way!)

I can't say I can decide.
I am so utterly logical and cynical, yet I do tend to have an active imagination.
I enjoyed the debate between logic and imagination, it was quite entertaining. You made it seem quite realistic.
It was a very enjoyable read.
Nice done.

My brain will switch back and forth. In school, I hold myself to the standard of being a high honors student, so logic gets the best of me there, but when I am with my friends, it like logic doesn't exist, I'm all imagination. This story was very well written, you captured exactly what happens in people's minds, and the debate between both hemispheres and the personification of the hemispheres definitly made this very realistic, as if it were two people going back and forth in an arguement. I really liked this, keep going!
P.S. Sorry, I don't usually leave such long comments, but this was so good, I had to! -

Now that I'm brainstorming I see potential for something more. :3 Thank you very much for your thoughts and experiences!
