Frienship should come first...

Back in year 8 we made a pact,1

To make our friendship stayed intact.2

We promised to each other we'd always be there,3

To love each other and care.4

We promised we'd never fall out over a guy,5

That we'd rather die.6

Than let one get between us,7

And spoil what great things we had.8

But the pact was broken and smashed in to pieces,9

Stamped and spat upon on the ground,10

Our hope and dreams of our eternal friendship lay scattered,11

Waiting to be picked up when we realised what really mattered.12

He made up that filth, those lies.13

I never said a single one,14

To that slimy piece of scum. 15

But you'd rather believe the guy that you only just knew,16

You'd rather trust the guy that cheated on you.17

Oh but you didn't know that did you?18

But neither will I tell.19

I know it will break your heart for you to know,20

And that some lies are worth to bet upon. 21

Though you've acted like a bitch,22

I won't break your heart.23

I won't smash your heart like you smashed our friendship.24

But be warned girl, be warned, don't push me to much25

Else some truth may roll of my tongue.26

Maybe then you'd know what he was like,27

When I told you about that blond girl last night.28

Our friendship may be over,29

But I know one day you will come back.30

But maybe I might not want you then.31

Have you ever thought of that?32

The tears roll softly down my cheeks33

As I know you think I lied.34

But I would never hurt you hunnie,35

I'd rather loose my pride.36

Boys, boys, boys.37

Why do we love them and hate them at once?38

Why do I still love them when I know what they can do39

And know what they can break...40

One day you'll realise.41

But maybe then it will be too late.42

Just remember I'm not a fool43

And that I hold the key to the others friendship now,44

But you have no lock, you have no door, 45

You are not with us anymore.46

Author notes

This is just a poem about how people should trust their friends, because they care for you more than anyone else in different ways. This is a true story... luckily though the rest of my mates stuck by me-not her :0)

I can relate to this poem. My friends in school abandoned me for awhile too. You can't trust people sometimes. Good poem; it was written perfectly. Keep on writing!

tar for the comment on this poem. This was written so long ago it's mad! Well I talk vaguely to some still, but those girls weren't worth it. They hurt people too easily in the end, and I didn't stick round to be hurt. I found new, brilliant mates that I love to bits. But thanx for the comment, I seriously forgot I wrote this one
