A Fairys heart ch.2

Serenity fell asleep at the Rowan's house.  When she awoke she quickly flew  home she knew her parents would be worried sick if she didn't come home last night so she flew home in a hurry.  She left a note though for Rowan who was still asleep, it said simply that she had to leave and that she would meet him tonight where they had first met. She ripped a piece of a cotton sheet and wrapped it around her and tightened it with some thread and had herself a new dress.  She gave him a kiss on her cheek which sent her heart pounding and then shrank down to her normal size put on her dress and left.  She was flying through trees and bushes at an alarming rate her heart was pounding with a feeling she had never felt before.  Talines had spent the night waiting for her to emerge from the castle and now that she had he was in hot pursuit of her.  He had not seen her transform into a human so she was safe for now.  She got to her house and gently fluttered to a stop on her door step.  Talines acted all casual and yelled out "Hey Serenity i was looking for you yesterday were did you go?"   Serenity just turned around and tried to play a cute little smile and replied " I was off by the lake taking a swim," "Oh cause i was wanting to see if you wanted to hang out today?"  He said trying to sound like he wasn't going to melt in her presence.  "Sure lets go," And she flew off in front of him.  "Wait for me!" He called after her.  She turned around and waited her cotton dress flowing in the breeze her wings made as they fluttered.  He felt his cheeks begin to go warm and looked down and went to her side.  When he looked up into her eyes he couldn't hold it back  The thought of her and that human infuriated him.  "Where were you yesterday?" He said.  Knowing she would make up and excuse he didn't want to  her.  "I saw you with the human you went for no swim yesterday Serenity what did you think you were doing?!" He yelled at her.  "I..I..I was he saw me what was i supposed to do?" She said her eyes welling  up with tears.  He hated to see her cry and never wanted to be the one who would make her cry.  "We will talk about this later," He said ending to conversation and with whatever bravery he had left in his heart he grabbed her by the hand and pulled her into his arms.  "What are you doing?" She said.  She was so confused why he was hugging her.  Does he have hidden feelings for me? She wondered.  "Please tell me something Talines, do you care about me?" She said her face beginning to feel warm and her heart beginning to beat faster.  She felt his heart begin to race and looked up into his face. "Serenity I have always loved you," He said he bent down to kiss her but she turned away.  "I can't I'm sorry,...i love him i mean someone else I'm sorry,"  And she flew off leaving Talines heartbroken in mid flight.  1

When Serenity finally stopped to pause and take a break she found that she was already at the castle.  She had only left a few hours before.  She wondered if Rowan was awake so she flew to his window and peeked inside.  She assumed her human looking form and saw that he was awake and looked lost in thought.  She knocked a few times on the window he turned around and saw her and ran straight to the window and opened it without a thought.  "I missed you where did  you go?" He said in his sweet warm voice.  "I had to return home and inform my family where i was even though i did not see them, i ran into my friend Talines he knows i was here last night, i will be punished," She said looking into his eyes.  He just held her too him and felt the warmth of her giving her comfort without saying a word. She smiled and felt the rush of her emotions again.  She knew it was love.  But does he only love me cause I look like this because of what I am.  Went through her head but she was afraid to ask him. So she just kept it to herself.  She was unaware of the feelings that were developing and the forbiddeness of it.  So was he for as they were in each others arms a angered love was about to unleash as Talines revealed her secrets to there world.2
