“Rat, aren’t you coming?” a young maiden asked from her place ten feet away, the man grinned, the slight breeze blowing a strand of his delicately silver hair into his face. 1
“sure, which way is the village?” he asked, a sweet smile played it’s was to her gorgeous face as she pointed to the north, 2
“around 10 miles upriver, you up for the challenge?” his grinned turned to a smirk,3
“only if you are.” he teased starting at full speed down the hardly used path. Five miles latter an ear shattering shrike echoed through the trees. His eyes fluttered open. He looked around expecting to see his young womanish friend only to see an empty bedroom. He looked to his alarm, blaring. Slamming his hand down on the hatful machine getting up, maneuvering his way in the dark trough the filth , he had gotten very good at it after memorizing the room. After making his way to his dresser, not bothering to turn on a light, he found a pair of sweatpants, he knew they were his black ones they were the only ones that where on that side of the room. After a few seconds of groping the inside of the third drawer he found a light gray wife beater. After which he uncovers his trusty fanny pack. Once dressed he heads downstairs where his mom is still sleeping him her room down the hall, he slips into the bathroom still not bothering with the light, grabs his tooth brush and tooth paste and heads out the door .4

“it’s Raven, Mrs. Ivy.” he said purposely mispronouncing her name before bowing and sitting in his seat beside a kid that seemed to interested in his video game to notice him. After which the teacher started her lesson forgetting the new kid altogether her giving him plenty of time to draw write in his journal and start on his first book of his graphic novel,” Broken Wings “ it was a challenge to him self considering he didn’t have art he would have to make do by himself. Around5 blocks latter and a lot of hand massages latter, the first book was done. He beamed smiling for the first time that day, Coop, the kid playing Zelda on his Nintendo color had noticed him beaming, grabbed the novel from him and begun seeing what he was go cheery about ,after finishing, handed it back.7
“it’s good. Write more.” the gammer stated right before the bell rang and he walked off. Rays jaw still on the floor and his cheeks still blood red,
"who was that?"he asked no one in preticlar
