The day everything went downhill: chapter three

David woke up the next morning and immediately thought of what had happened the day before. It was all just a nightmare. That's what he kept telling himself.  He went downstairs and checked on his dog. His mom was in the kitchen and asked him if he was feeling alright. He looked at her, with his eyes wide open and a terrified look appeared on his face. 1

"It's all true, isn't it mom?" David said. She replied, 2

"David, Sometimes God takes people we still want to be here, but he wants with them. Everyone has a purpose. Amber was a good girl. She was loved by everyone. She touched many peoples lives. Her purpose was full-filled. God called her home."3

By now, David had found a spot at the table and sat down with tears in his eyes. His mom didn't know the whole story with them. She didn't know about all the time Amber and him had spent together, just the two of them, talking. She didn't realize just how much she really meant to him. She had no idea Amber was the first girl he ever loved, really loved. She'd eventually know know how he felt. 4

David sat there for the longest time. He sat and just thought about all the times he wanted to tell his mom about exactly how serious he and Amber had gotten. He wanted to tell her about the ring. He just didn't know how. He knew her reaction. She would say they were too young. He didn't care though, he loved Amber and always wanted to be with her. 5

Right then, he got the urge to just tell his mother. What would the difference be now anyways? Amber was gone, no wedding was ever happening now. 6

"Mom, I have to tell you something, something that you never knew about me and Amber. We wanted to tell you, but we knew you wouldn't approve." Davids mother looked at him with her motherly eyes. "Amber and I's relationship had been a bit more then you think it was..." 7

Just then Davids dad walked in drunk as all can be. He stumbled to the living room and Davids mom went to help him up. David jumped up screaming, 8

"WHY DO YOU ALWAYS GO TO HELP HIM MOM? HE GOES OUT AND GETS DRUNK OFF HIS SORRY ASS AND KNOWS HE CAN DO WHATEVER HE WANTS AND YOU'LL STILL HELP HIM. WILL YOU NEVER UNDERSTAND!?"9
