Postcards from Dawn

1

I have counted one hundred thirteen postcards that I have recived from Dawn Adams.2

Thirteen of those postcards were sent from places in Germany. 3

Fifty were from the United States, and the other fifty came from various parts of South America, and some from provinces in Canada.4

Dawn obviously liked to travel. She often traveled with her cousin, Sandra. Sandra, however, did not have the sense of adventure that Dawn had. Whenever Dawn leaded, Sandra stayed close, clutching Dawn's backpack or arm. 5

I never went to any places in Canada with her, but I went with her to seventeen states in the U.S, I went to Berlin, she even convinced me to go with her to Brazil, but I have never gone to Canada.6

I think the reason is that she thought I wouldn't like it. Her last adventure that she had gone off to almost ended her life, and that was in Canada. I think that that's also a reason. She said that she had almost died there three times. I'm glad she didn't die then. 7

Dawn's favorite place was Berlin. She had been there four times, so she loved it well enough. Her least favorite place that she travelled to was Peurto Rico. She thought it was a horrible place, and she told me never to go there many, many times.8

When I stayed home half of the time, she would send me postcards from all of the places she had been to. She sent me a postcard from Alaska, and I thought to myself 'She must be freezing!'. I hung that one up next to California's postcard. I keep all of the postcards on a huge bulletin board. Believe me, its gigantic!9

I have wonderful memories of Dawn's adventures.10

I still have the postcards on my wall.11

I miss Dawn so very much.

Author notes

This is fictional, but I know someone that is very much like the character of Dawn Adams.
