"I'm back," I whispered to myself. "Why is this room so ... dull?" The stone walls were a dark shade of grey. The sheets and blankets on the bed were moldy and gross, wripped and rag-looking. I sighed/1
I wanted to get out of this stone-wall apartment as fast as I could, for I hated it. It kept me trapped in here for years, by the looks of it. There was no door, but a window. I climbed out the window clumsily and tripped. Before I was about to plunge down into the city lights, I caught myself just in time. Slowly and steadily, I walked across, holding onto other windows and rails. If I fell, it would be a long, long drop.
"Slowly and steadily ... slowly and steadily ... don't fall ... don't fall." Everything seemed to freeze as I was walking, and my mind was packed to the brim with fear. 2
Suddenly, I heard the most soothing, and heart-touching music ever, so I followed it. My ears were addicted to the song as if it were drugs, and the voice of the man singing and instruments took over my ears, making me feel less and less conscience. Passing windows filled with people partying, people playing, people getting ready for bed, I tripped again almost falling. I caught myself once more, and continued to climb some more. This time I had to climb upward to reach this guy playing the music ... After many challenges of climbing, walking, and crawling, I stood up against the window with the music. It was a music studio apparently, because a band was practicing in there.
"Wake me up!" He sang, beating his guitar.3
Excited now, I leaned against the window singing along to this song. I recognized it somehow. We both were exchanging looks at each other.
"Wake me up inside!"
"Can't wake up!" He continued.
"Wake me up inside!"
"Save me,"
"Call my name, and save me from the drop." It reminded me of that stone wall apartment ....
I knocked on the window, and took a step, hoping he'd let me in. Suddenly, I tripped on my night gown, but this time was hanging by my two, weak, hands, on a rusty old railing. The guy who was playing the music opened the window all the way, and reached out for me. He had my hands in his, and my life depended on him now.
"Pull me up!" I cried.
"Why are you here?"
"I'm not sure ... your music lurred me here."
"Get lost!"
"No--wait! I just got my senses back ... everything was ... black ... please ... don't!"
"No!" His hands began slipping out of mine, but I held on tight.
"No!!! Please, I'm begging you! Don't let go!"
"Fine." He sighed, and pulled me up. My grip softened.
We argued for a couple more minutes, and after that, he let go. We argued about how I became nothing, how I was sleeping for millions of years, and with that he just let go on me, my life was soon to end. I fell down, down, and caught one last glimpse of him yelling something to the guys in the band. Something like 'She's nothing inside'. I fell down, down, down. There was no floor, just a never ending drop.4
"Aaaah!" I cried, the world around me spinning violently. The lights flashed, and his music was booming in my ears. I heard my voice singing along to it, but how? I was screaming.
"Bid my blood to run, before I come undone, save me from the nothing I've become ...." Tht was it .... I needed help. But now, I was doomed to my death. 5
This dream began shifting, and transformed into another one. Everything around me in the stone wall apartment was still, and the raggy sheets and blankets were draped over me. My eyes were shut and locked, my face still like a statue. However, I was alive, still breathing and all ... just perfectly still. Everything seemed strange, yet fine.
"Bring ... me ... to ... life ...."

The Music Video- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3ORuIBjjBU
I'll admit it, the first time, when I first watched the video and saw the window, I was freaking out, but really, it's not scary! Hope you enjoy!

Very interesting story. It's short and mysterious - kind of doesn't make sense, but that's good, it makes it unique. If you really think about it there will always be some deeper meaning hidden here.

Based On The Music Vid ...
Alright, Alright, I'm being honset. I simply have NO CLUE or WHAT THE MESSAGE IS or WHAT THE SONG IS TRYING TO TELL ME ... so I based it on the music video. Lol, she's climbing on a building ... climbing ... and then she finds this guy ... and she falls in love with him (I'm guessing), she trusts him, he lets go, she falls and then it goes back to her sleeping in a bed alone in a room. LOL. So, I know what you mean when you say it didn't make sense!
Thanks for reading and commenting,

Well, I love that song too. Used to be my fave, now my fave song is "Supernatural, by Flyleaf". I liked how it was sort of like the music video. Could've been better though, like more thoughts and emotions. More description. I still love it though, and I hope you'll be able to read some of my stories, and if you do, I hope you enjoy them
