Angels of the time (part eleven)

Back at the hideout, Tifa was getting ready for the groups return. Getting their favourite meals and drinks ready, while also tending to the bar. She knew that once avalanche got home Barret would throw all her customers out, yet she continued serving them. Tifa was a young girl with long brown hair and brown eyes. An old childhood friend of the merchenary helping out Avalanche, to which she was a memnber. She had told her friend about the job to be able to keep a close eye on him, after finding him ill at a train station nearby. Ever since the incident in her home town five years previous, she had wondered if he was ok, if he was alive somewhere. She had definately worried about him when he was not around. She tried to hide it, but people around could tell she had feelings for him, even if he did not feel the same way. 1

When Avalanche arrived back, Cloud was the first one to walk through the door. Tifa was straight there talking to him, closely followed by a young four year old girl called marlene, the daughter of Barret. Tifa caught sight of a flower in Clouds hand. After asking where it was from, Cloud handed over the flower thinking about the girl he had bought it off. He had felt like he knew her somehow, yet he had never seen her before. At this point, Barret walked in and sure enough kicked all the non avalanche members out of the bar before going downstairs with the rest of the group to talk about their next mission. Tifa and Cloud waited behind.2

Knowing Cloud was different, Tifa began questioning him about a night before he joined the shinra army. A night he only just remembered. The night she made him promise that he would save her if anything happened to her. They talked about it for a while before Cloud was called down to talk about his next mission with the avalanche team.3
