Bella Of The Ball - Kristen Stewart - Jo Hurley [Book Review]

1. Was it a good book?: It was an interesting and insightful read into the career of Kristen Stewart. It was factual. Easy to read, and well laid out. It scoped may topics – From Family life, movies, hobbies. To Kristen's fears, interviews, and fun facts about what went on behind the scenes of some of the movies she has stared in.1

2. Would you recommend it?: I would recommend it for children, and teenagers as it was very basic reading at a scholastic Level. It would be a great book for students doing reports & fans [much like myself] to keep track on Kristen's life, and career till present. 2

3. What did you like about it?: I liked reading about the diverse characters Kristen has played. From a teen suffering diabetes- to a vampires obsession. I enjoyed finding out little odd facts about Kristen as a person herself. Such as her wanting to be a writer, and that her mother is Australian. It was also comforting to know she likes to do 'normal' teenage activities like spending time with her brothers.3

4. What did you dislike?: That is was aimed for children, and teenagers. Parts of the book felt to me as if the author was babying the reader, or faking to write better but trying to fit in with the younger audience of readers. Even teens no longer talk like she did, and it made some of the reading experience boring, and hard to focus.4

5. Overall?: It was a light, and easy read. Fun, and informative, but nothing to rave over. I did like the poster attached. I liked the film bibliography the most because it lead me to watch one of the most heart wrenching movies I have seen in a long time called speak – I admired her performance in speak, and brought the book. Over all 3 stars ***
