“Dan! DANWAKE UP!” screamed a concerned Raine1
“What's happening?” asked an equally concerned Kagami2
“He's Flatlining. Grab the green bag out of my trunk.”3
“What's that mean?”4
“Just get the bag.”5
“Okay.” replied Kagami, hoping that flatlining doesn't mean what it sounds like. She bolted to Raine's car, carefully ripping open the trunk as not to break anything. Inside she found a few boxes, some miscellaneous items, but no green bag. She checked every other comptartment of the car and sadly, there was nothing else of green color but a small grip-mat on top of the dashboard. She ran back and recited the bad news, exactly as Raine had not wanted to hear it; “I couldn't find a green bag, I checked everywhere.”6
“How could I have forgotten that? I always bring that with me.”7
“Is he still flatlining?”8
“Yes. I need to perform CPR on him, and you might not want to watch.”9
“I know how to do CPR.”10
“You do compressions, I'll do mouth to mouth.”11
“I beg your pardon?”12
“Just do it.” said Raine, almost intimidating the much stronger werewolf.13
“Fine.” grunted Kagami. Raine began her mouth to mouth, signaling Kagami when she had finished. Kagami began her compressions, managing to delicately beat Dan's chest in. After what seemed like a million sets, the heart monitor perked up, identifying what was most definitely a heartbeat.14
Dan had literally been reborn. Both Raine and Kagami backed off. Kagami watched in amazement as the entire transformation unfolded under her eyes. Dan began to rapidly alternate between heart rhythms, his core temperature shooting up to about 108°. Raine looked on in amazement as he, still unconscious, began to thwart every medical impossibility he could manage. His skin began to rapidly grow fur and then lose all of it almost instantaneously. The sounds of joints reforming and bones lengthening filled the room. Then, just as fast as it started, it was over.15
Dan was now (as far as anyone was able to tell) one of the wolves. He slowly began to wake up from his cocooning coma, sleep dripping off of him in near perceptible rivulets. He shakily sat up, his body running involuntary tests and trying to come to grips with his new self. He tried to stand up, his legs not accommodating him quite yet, and fell right back down. Kagami smelled the air tentatively, checking to see if her soul-mate was in fact a wolf now. She concluded with a chuckle that his idea had worked. Dan began to come to grips with the situation himself, beginning to form the words that would become his first lupine sentence16
“You guys look like you saw a ghost, what happened?” asked Dan curiously.17
“Oh, nothing.” replied both Kagami and Raine innocently18
“Anyone mind giving me a hand? I'm not quite used to the whole wolf thing yet, legs included.”Dan asked.19
“Sure.” piped up both of the others again20
“Whatever happened to Kiara?” Dan questioned, hooking an arm around each of his supporters.21
“She left to go help Kira.” replied Kagami.22
“Okay. I think I have it, now let go slowly.” Dan said, easing support on to his own legs. “There we go, let me walk around for a little.”23
“So Raine, you never told me what Flatlining is.” reminded Kagami.24
“Flatlining is when the heart stops beating.” replied Raine25
“Flatlining? What all happened when I was unconscious?” Dan said, his legs deciding to give out again.26
“A lot.” answered Raine.

very exciting. my only worry is that this seems to be happening all to easily and nothing in this world is ever simple.
