The condition of being so stimulated. 2
Inspiration. Inspiration comes from many places, many people, inanimate objects, and much more. Even lint can inspire you to write or draw something. Hell, the word inspiration inspired me to write THIS!
See what I mean, but how do we get our inspiration and how come some things inspire some writers more than others? Such as a dress and a flower might be sitting in front of me and in front of another writer and I write about the flower and the other writer writes about the dress. Why do we choose different ones, how come they stick out to us all differently?3We are all stimulated by different things. Certain colors stick out to us, situations we've been in also help. Maybe the other writer had a dress like that, that she danced in with her father at her wedding. Maybe I chose the flower because it represented my life, of how I was born then wilted into nothingness. It actually depends upon the person.4
I have had many findings in my creative writing class that I attended in high school. We could all be given the same picture but we would all be inspired to write about something else. One picture we were given was an African nurse holding a baby that was born and died of AIDS. I wrote about how I thought the mother might feel. The boy next to me wrote about the nurse and how helpless she felt. Another girl wrote about how god needed the baby for something special. So as you can see, same picture/inspiration, but all the writing was different. NO ONE wrote anything that resembled anothers. My teacher thought this fascinating but I even thought it inspiring. It gave me such a strong desire to see how different we all right.5
Just how we all interpret words sometimes. Dreams, heroes, and love are words we all have our own definitions for, no one has one that is alike. This is the case for every ones inspiration. No ones inspiration is alike, just like how no ones writing is alike. We all have our own unique style and flow that no one can rightfully copy yours or anyones. Isn't it wonderful?6
In truth inspiration is a drive or motivation, therefore, becoming a psychological incentive for us creators to create. Without some kind of inspiration artists, writers, and singers would be lost. Even if we write about something that happened to us that still inspired us.7
Writers don't always write about what they know. A writer could see a man going into space and write about it, and they have never been in space. Some say you should only write about what you know. I say write about what inspires you. Write things in your light, write them how YOU see them. You are the creator, you do it your way. If it inspires you then go for it, if not then go in search of something else. So if you look at it and it motivates you do not wait a second grab that paper and that pencil and draw or write about it. You never know when you'll draw or write a hit. You never know what your mind will come up with. It's so exciting. So get out there and get inspired! Most of all HAVE FUN!8
