"Addie, you do recognize Leo don't you?" she softly said.2
Oh yes Addie remembered Leo alright. He is the only man that she ever loved. He was the man that she lost everything to. The only one that she had ever let go all the way. The only man to ever break her heart.3
"God Addie, you look more beautiful," Leo said stepping forward,"than I ever have seen you in my life."4
At this Addie's somewhat of a trance was broken, and she stepped backwards.5
"How dare you touch me, or even attempt to touch me when you left me the way that you did. I thought that what we had would last a really long time, but you ended it with no apparent reason. Don't touch me."6
Leo just stood there in shock as Marietta, her room mate, ran over and tried to pull her back into the room. Addie let herself be pulled toward Leo, but as she drew nearer she picked up the spilling half drunk glass of milk and threw it on him.7
"Darn it Addie, you always were spry weren't you?" he chuckled "I should have expected this much to happen!"8
And at that something inside of Addie just let loose. She couldn't explain why the sight of her old lover covered in milk had set this emotion off, but she no longer felt any hard feelings towards Leo.9
Addie threw herself at Leo, and gave him only enough time to catch her as she pulled his soft mouth towards hers.10
" You better have some sort of a reason for leaving me all of those years ago or you wouldn't be back here in a fancy suite. Now am i right or am i wrong?" Addie breathed to Leo.11
"I'll tell you what," Leo said,"let me treat you to a nice dinner, and i will explain everything to you okay?"12
Marietta was standing in the corner prior to this, but as Leo and Addie just stood there in a lovers embrace, she busted out crying.13
"Addie go with him you idiot! i know that you are starving, and i didn't fix anything for supper. If you don't go, I am going to kill you for foolishness!" Marietta screamed.14

Addie was looking in the mirror above her dresser. Her appearance hadn't changed much over the years, but it wasn't the school girl face that Leo had been used to. Her eyes were getting the ever-so-slight signs of laugh lines, and her skin was loosing it's luster.Yet, the one thing that even Leo had noticed, was the fire in Addie's eyes was burning white hot as ever.16
The red dress that Addie was wearing was as beautiful as the night that she had wore it 5 years on the night that she gave herself to Leo. There were maybe a few, unnoticeable sequences missing here and there, but the dress was still lovely. Addie silently prayed that Leo found it still enticing and that he had a really good reasoning for leaving her all those years back. She also prayed that she would be able to pick things up with Leo and carry on from where they left off so long ago.17
Suddenly Addie's stomach rumbled and hunger pains shot expectantly through her torso. 18
"Leo are you ready now? My stomach is gripping! Let's go please." Addie called to the bathroom.19
"Well if someone hadn't thrown milk all over my good suite i might have not even had to get ready don't you think?!" he called over the sound of the hairdryer. "But yes, I am ready. Let's head off."20
As Addie walked down the front stoop she noticed ad large black limousine that she had not noticed before setting across the street. Marietta was on their heels as Addie and Leo opened the front gate and stepped out onto the sidewalk.21
"Now you kids stay out as long as you want." she said in a mocking motherly voice. "If you come back before midnight I am going to be worried sick! Now get out there and have fun!" she laughed.22
Addie looked at Leo and couldn't help but ask,23
"Where is our ride?" 24
Before Leo could answer, it came to Addie. Surely it wasn't the Limo?25
But Leo took her by the hand and led her to it, opening the door gingerly.26
" Your carriage awaits madame." He teased.27
Addie could only smile in aw as she was ushered into the Limo.28
Addie couldn't see how all of this was real. Her old lover was here, she was sitting in a Limo, and she was being taken to a fancy restaurant.29
She was even more amazed over the food that was ordered; caviar, roast duck, and $200 wine. But the thing that really set the mood was when Leo explained the reason for leaving her all those years ago.30
He had not been able to buy her an engagement ring like how he had wanted. He loved her so much that he didn't think that he would be good enough for her. So he left with that thought on his mind.31
After two years of working in an office he decided that his undying love for Addie meant that he had to have her. So he started working at every job that he could take. After each time he was paid, he saved every bit of his money that he could. Finally he had enough to buy Addie a diamond, but also not to mention a mansion. So he set out to find Addie's forgiveness for leaving her and to ask her a question.32
Addie was so shocked at all of this that she had no idea what to say. All she could do was cry.33
"Addie, I have been waiting so long for this moment, and I hope that this isn't the wrong time to ask you this. I really love you and I want things to be like they were." Leo said.34
He dropped down on one knee and looked up into Addie's emerald eyes.35
"Addie, will you marry me?" 36

Walking up the road all she could think about was what she was going to get for lunch, she cursed herself for missing the earlier bus, all the local cafeés had shut half an hour ago so she was going to have to raid the fridge. She opened the gate at the end of her garden path and walked towards the house.38
“Boy, am I hungry. I hope they saved me some food."39
As she walked into the house she called out to Mary, the house maid.40
" Hey Mary, come fix me a glass of milk and a sandwich please."41
Addie heard voices in the next room. One was the voice of her best friend and old room mate, Marietta. The other was the customary voice of her favorite radio announcer. The third was a voice that was all to familiar, it was that of her husband, Leo.42
As Addie walked into the room she yelled.43
"What the hell are you doing here?"44
Marietta jumped up off of the couch and grabbed Addie as she said,45
"Can't an old friend come to visit?"46
Addie, Leo, and Marietta sat there talking for hours in Addie and Leo's beautiful home. They talked about the good times and some of the not so good time. Out of the corner of her eye, Addie looked over to the closet to see, ever so slightly, the bottom of a red dress under the door.47
