Vacation

Well, I left for vacation last Sunday afternoon to go three hours away from home to Danforth, Illinois. I brought my best friend Alisha(dark-whispers05 on AP) with me. My older sister left home on Father's Day, and my mom felt there was a void to fill. Things were pretty nice at My Aunt Becca's house of three sons, one daughter, and a husband. On top of that we had three girls, my mom and step-dad. Can anyone say chaos? We went to the second largest pool in Illinois on Tuesday. That was really fun. Then on Wednesday we went to a waterpark in Rantoul..(I kept calling it Rotel on accident). In Rantoul, my mom had a MAJOR seizure......where her body twitches and she is unconscious. We aren't sure why it started. She wouldn't stop seizing, so we called an ambulance. At that point, I was in tears. Seizures can kill a person. And she had a grand total of 44 in four hours. Then I stopped counting. She went to the Provena Covenant hospital in Urbana at around 6:00pm Wednesday evening. I rode in the ambulance with her. Then once we got there I registered her most of the way because my step-dad took awhile getting there. My mom was put in a regular room, and was pumped FULL of Ativan, a drug that should have stopped the seizures. But they kept coming. She was moved to the CCU, and I couldn't be with her for about an hour. Then once they let me see her, I didn't leave her. I was balling just thinking of the fact that she might not see me turn 16 (in a month). I slept maybe 2 hours that night. Then my grandparents drove all the way up there and took me to breakfast. I had some omelet thing. I got sick and puked it all up in the restaurant bathroom. I decided to leave with my Aunt Becca after she visited. I was way too exhausted. I had fun the rest of the time, with agonizing worry in the depths of my mind. Just this evening they transferred her to a closer hospital and she is in the ICU. They have no clue why she keeps having them, but she just hasn't stopped. It's a miracle her brain hasn't fried yet. Anyway, that's why it took me soooo long to judge my contest, and why I haven't been on in awhile. I need to go to bed and get some sleep before we visit her tomorrow.1
