Krystal Akera- Chapter 8

Chapter 81

Krystal’s school day had gone by semi-fast, but it was nothing like she had expected. The classes weren’t classes of education like she knew; they were on each group of students who had the same or similar powers. Like Leo had only been with her in their homeroom/first class, that class was a science class it was the only semi-non-magical class. For her groups her and Leo got to be with each other. The class was mostly about teaching them to make healing potions, and also of there surroundings. Then there was one other class Leo was in with her, she didn’t like the class much it was a self defense class helping with each kid in the class’s special powers. Like Leo, he could transform into any feline and then turn back to his state he was always in. Krystal’s on the other hand were just her mind and time travel, since she was yet to find out her other powers. But how soon she would learn them was very unknown. Her day went by very quickly as it soon became lunchtime.2

As she walked down the halls looking for Leo since she had no idea where she was going she bumped into a girl, she looked normal enough like her. “Sorry, I wasn’t looking where I was going, I was looking for some one.” Krystal hoped this girl wasn’t like any of the girls from her school.3

“ It’s ok I wasn’t watching where I was going either, so um…who where you looking for?” the girl didn’t sound much younger than Krystal.4

“ Oh, I was just looking for Leo. I was suppose to meet him for lunch.”5

“Well, I could help you, I’m new here I’m trying to find my way around.” She looked around the school as she said that.6

“Really? So am I this is my first day” at saying that she jumped hearing a deep purring behind her on her back, when she turned around she was staring up at Leo. “Oh, hey.” She smiled then looked back at the girl.  “Well, what’s your name you should come and hang out with me and Leo?”7

“ My names Alika, and if its ok with both of you I would be happy to hang around.” She smiled at Krystal asking her that question.8

“I doesn’t bother me at all if you come, does it bother you Leo?” she looked back up at Leo who seemed to be watching a small mouse scampering across the floor. She snapped her fingers in front of his eyes snapping him out of it. 9

“Oh, sorry…but you just cost me my lunch there.” He chuckled some at saying that and seeing the disgusted look on both of their faces. “I was just kidding.” He smiled walking towards the door.10

“Where are you going? Its only lunch time?” both Krystal and Alika said at the same time. Then looked at each other and laughed a little. He turned around and smiled at them.11

“Well I sure can tell you guys are new, its Wednesday. We always have half-days on Wednesdays. “ He walked out the door hearing Krystal and Alika running after him. “Heh…I knew you two would follow I feel like its follow the leader.”12

“If its follow the leader then lead us to where ever we are going, our leader” Krystal yawned as she watched him walking ahead of them and then looked at Alika. 13

“Well you and me have to get back to your house, my dad and yours told us to,” he chuckled some “but that was just before you found me in your room, so I don’t think you heard.” 14

Krystal shook her head some remembering when she had seen him that morning and how scared she had been and now he was her best friend. She looked over at Alika and then asked her “So um…what powers do you have that actually made you come to this school and town?” Alika looked over at her as she heard the question.15

“Oh, I can shape shift, I just barely found out about it not that long ago.” She looked down at the ground again as they walked. Soon they got to Krystal’s house where Leo and her had to separate from Alika. “Bye Krystal and Leo I’ll see you at school tomorrow.”16

“Bye.” Both Leo and Krystal responded at the same time as they walked into the house. Just as they walked in they saw both there family’s sitting in the living room talking, just as they had been when they had left that morning. 17
