I am sure you will forgive me for being pessimistic about this 'scheme'. I cannot find a shred of actual evidence that carbon is causing our planet to heat up. I have this terrible fear that the world is being conned into believing such garbage by a few with vested interests in making a dollar out of "Trading Schemes" and the whole thing is an invention of a propaganda machine, purely to make money for its instigators.1
Reduce pollution? Most certainly do that so that clean breathable air is available everywhere, but do it honestly. Perhaps as the Chinese propose: Tax the polluters more heavily than non polluters. Simple, probably effective, and won't place an extra burden on the general population by adding to the cost of living.2
[carbon trading schemes only increase costs without any guarantee of pollution reduction.]3
Adding extra costs to farm production because animals fart and belch is plain ludicrous. The more I read about "trading Schemes" reducing emissions, the more I think that any Govt involved in such ridiculous ideas should visit a shrink immediately. [The whole bloody Govt ] Can't anyone tell the so-called advisers to members of Govt to get it right, and prove it before promoting stupid legislation. 4
It is a great pity that the beaurocrats who advise politicians can't be held personally responsible for giving lousy advice based on inaccurate information.5

Truly important stuff!
Carbon trading is just another fisco the government is putting out. It's just another intrusion on our lives that we do not need. The media is scaring people by telling them that disaster is right arond the corner. What will we do about the ten coal fired plants that China is producing? keep on writing, Bob. You make a lot of sense. -

I reckon Mother nature is testing us out. If we can learn to live within the limits of what she provides for us we will all be so much better off. Down here in our part of the world there is a smaller population then north of the equator and consequently less pollution. We have had about 10 years of poor rainfall, hot hot summers and lower than normal rural production, but that cycle is changing. Who knows, we might get perfect conditions for our agriculture this year, or maybe next. We are subjects of nature's rule whether we like it or not, so why not enjoy what she provides and stay within the boundaries she has set for us. Many thanks Bob,for your visit and comments.

Ain't it grand that even in this day and age the absurd and the grandiose survive. I',m always suspicious when someone pees on my shoe and tells me it rain. You've done well exposing to the light the insanity of carbon trading. Good write. Happy trails.

Hi David, thanks for your visit and comments, my friend. I get so mad when the information needed to make proper judgments and assessments is reduced to propaganda material to promote some money making scheme for those with too much money already. I believe that Mother nature is moving into another cycle already and we shall see that in the next few years. Here in Aussie, we are paying big dollars for a failed 'water trading scheme' that was introduced some years ago. It didn't work either.

At last!
I have found someone who is SANE.
The whole "global warming" concept is a con - a worldwide con at that, dreamed up by various global money men who could see a fast buck and new just how to manipulate various governments.
As most governments (probably all) are in hock to either big business or unions, they will do what they're told and if they can see a way of "legally" raising taxes they will do so. (Someone has to pay their expense accounts for them).
The world works in cycles depending on how far or near the bloody sun is (or something like that).
I'm STILL waiting for some scientist and/or archaeologist to show me evidence of an ice-man driving around in a 4x4 or SUV to prompt the global warming which ended the last ice-age.
Oh! forgot to say - I agree with you 100% Bob.

i thought you may agree with my thoughts on this one. Once there was a chart showing the percentages of gases etc in the so-called belt warming our planet, now that has vanished, but from memory 65% of it is water vapour. Can't make a buck out of that, so go for something else. Next one is electricity!~
Many thanks Lawrie, I am so pleased i am not the only suspicious sod on the planet.

It is my opinion about something I do not like at all. There used to be a web site with all the details of so-called pollution belt causing global warming, it has vanished. I am suspicious when the original scientific stuff disappears from the public domain. I fear we are all being taken for a ride again so some big wheels can make a dollar. I appreciate you visit and comments and say thank you for them.
