Well this day starts out like any other day. With everyone getting up, sometimes before the sun even comes up to be able to get the things that needs to be done here on a farm. This would begin with doing things like feeding the cows, horses and the other animals that were here on the place. The girls would go to collect the eggs so there momma to cook for breakfast. The McCoy farm had been around for near about 100 years now. With the same family name living in it all these years. For it has just been hand down from son to son. Even though there has been a few daughters that it has been hand down to for there were no sons born. In this case that daughter would not marry but would adopt a boy so that the Mccoy name would carry on. This day and time that dose not make much since for the farm name could have stay the same either way.7

With this generation of McCoy’s there were two girls and three boys born. This was a good number to be sure made life kind of easy on everyone. The McCoy’s was a very loving family and truly God fearing people. They were the kind of people that went to church every Sunday. It did not seem like there could ever be anything exciting going on around them. Let alone a murder? But that is what was happing, It all got start when the older son was going to plow up old back field. Just they had gotten clear from the brush that had grown up there. That part of the place had not been use in near about twenty year now. It had really taken some work just to get it clear so that it could even be ready for plowing. But as luck would have it just as the boy had gotten about half of it done and was stopping for lunch. He saw a whole lot of bones and they were not of any animal he knew about so they call police in. To see if they could figure out what was all this was about.8

Well it had been about three weeks now and the police had now found what appear to be what they thought to be about twenty or so people bones there now. This really had everyone in the McCoy family upset for they didn’t know what why are how this all came to be there, they were as puzzles as the police were. Yet the police were really looking to them for answerers for all this. To which they had no answer. For as far as they knew no one had ever been killed or bury on this part of there land. I mean they had a family bury place way at the other end of the re property, out down past the old barn that was not use for anything but hay now. That the researcher who were working for the police and the state CSI unit that were there going over every little thing. So far have found that there were no battle had been there. Plus there were not any Indians bury grounds at this location either. One of the CSI people had said that to her it look as if these people may have been eaten, but could not be sure of that till the bones were taken back to the lab for a closer look. One of the McCoy little girls hearing this got her so very very upset, In fact it gave her such bad nightmare that she ending up having to sleep in her brother room at the ends of his bed on the floor. Well this did not set well with Hank McCoy who was the father of the girls. He was not a real big man in fact he was kind of lankly in build. But he was strong as ox as far as that go with men strength anyway. He told the police and the other to please reframe from doing anymore talking like that with his kids around. They were nice about it, and said that they had not know that his girls were any were around to hear them but that they would be more careful in the future. In response he thank him for that and was sorry that he had lost his temper, but when it come to his little one’s being made afraid or hurt that was just something that would get to him very quick.9

Well back at the police station they had set up a room just for the going on out at the McCoy farm. In fact Sergeant Frank Marks who seem to be a really strange man. Yet who was a very honest man too. He was a nicely build man with brown hair which was turning gray at the temp and who had the lightest gray eyes. He was not really a going to church kind of person but was still a very God fearing man. Well he had a board up and had a picture of each one of the McCoy family on it starting with, the father Hank and there Mother Alice. Then there were the kids the three boys Ben who was 18, Don who was 16 and the youngest boy who was 14. Why he even had picture of the little girls up on his board Debra who was 10 and little Sue who was only 8.Now under each picture there was a card with stuff wrote down about them on it. Hank was a lanky build man who was 50 years old, but was stronger than he looks. He had Black hair and brown eyes. Allison who they just call Alice was a true platinum blonde with the deepest green eyes who was 48 years old, yet was build like a string bean. Then of Corse there was the boys, Ben who was the oldest at 18 was very well build Dark brown hair and blue eyes and who seem to be the smartest on of them all. Don who was 16years old he had dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes and was of average build for his age. Then there was Tom who was 14 year old. With reddish blonde hair and who was a little taller then his older brother Don But you could tell by looking at him he was going to be build like his daddy.10

The little girls were as sweet as pie to look at that was to be sure. Now Little Debra whom the other McCoy’s all just calls Debbie or Dee. She had just had a birthday and turned 10 years old a few weeks ago. She had the longest red hair and with green eyes just like her mother. You could kind of tell she was going to be build like her mother too. On the other hand Susan who they just called Sue was on the heavy side. She was not fat at all it just seems to have a bigger bone structure than her older sister. Sue had Hair the color of Mother and gray eyes like her daddy. It was a fact she was a smart little one for she was already ahead of her sister in school by one grade. This was not because her sister had failed a grade either. They had move her because she was to far a heads of the other kids in her class this way by them putting her up a grade she was learning at the same pace as the kids that were in here in her class now11

Now Nita, on the other hand who was one of the lab people for the CSI department? Was so very pretty with long long Black hair that she wore up because of her work she had the nicest Hazel eyes and with Olive complexion. Which to a lot of people made her look just to pretty to be doing the work that she did even though she was really good at it and love every minute of it. Nita could just not figure out this cop Frank. Are his boards of the McCoy’s for she had done proven that the bones that had been found were over 90 years old? This may still prove that the bones may be older than what her first test show that they were. She would not know this until gets the result back from the big laboratory which was in the next state. So she was at a lost as to why he would be want to know all this stuff on the McCoy’s, for as much as she could tell they could not or would not have anything to do with any of this.12

It would be at least two week until all the tests was back for them to know anything for sure. They knew that there were men and women and even what look to be at least three kids so far. The thing that was getting to everyone was that they were still finding bones. In a way this Frank Cop was beginning to get on Nita nerve’s the way he always carries on about the McCoy’s.13

Well they had what they though might be a break in the case for there had been 4 knifes found now along with the bones. As it just happen Terry who was the best knifes expert there was. He was in town to give a class on knifes to the police. So he was being call in to the case now. Now as for Terry he was a nice looking man but nothing special except when it came to his heart there is where he was truly the best as far as a person go. The knives were brought to the lab and he went to work as soon as he got them. He said that there did not seem to be anything special about them they just look like what to be old-time hunting knives. Which were uses for cleaning game or for cutting up meat? It was kind of puzzling with all the things carved on the knife was not sure what that meant, But he would sending them off to someone that might be able to tell them all what they said.14

Well all of this was really get to all of the McCoy family for it was keeping them from doing all the things that they need to do to keep there farm going under in this hardship. They did have there been gardens in so that would be there food for the winter come. 15

Yet there cash crop was get tramp on every day it seem like which was a really pain for it was no where near where they were digging up all the old bones. At last Hank said sometime to the police about it. In a nice way at first he asks them to please use the road and not to go through his whole farm. But when that got him no where, he got a lawyer and then it was not so nice. For it was going to be costing the police for the mess of the fields that they had mess up while getting to and from the place they were digging for they had just been going to it any old way they want to with no regard to this being a working farm, when it would have been just as easy to the road that went straight to where the dig was instead of going all over the place to get to the same place. Things were not all bad though it seem as if Terry and Nita were fast becoming really good friends over all this that was going on at the McCoy’s farm. They had both come to the same ideal that the poor McCoy’s didn’t have anything to do with all of this that was turning up on there place. They had one other thing that made them alike and that was a growing dislike for Sergeant Frank of the police. 16

In cleaning the knives Terry did find that there made of something he was not use to being with the making up of a knife. It was a kind of stone and metal mix that which would make it very very strong. The marks on it were what he was waiting on finding out what they said, and what language it was. Then he may be able to put tighter connection to everything to make a better picture of what had happen here. Terry had never run across marking such as were on the knives’. Where as Nita was try to see if maybe they had been use in some kind ritual of pass times gone by. Either way this was all very strange that was to be sure.17

Now as for the McCoy’s they just want all this mess to end, so that they could at last get back to there own life’s such as it was. This to some may have seem a very boring life. Yet to the poor McCoy’s it was a good life and a happy one at that. Now it seems if they were in a never ending battle with the police mostly with that Frank person. Now Frank still thought that some how the McCoy’s knew what had happen even if it had been long time ago that it had happen. Hew knew that had to have at least heard and old story that maybe there grandparents’ had told them when they were growing up. Either way he was going to get to the bottom of all this no matter how much flack it was costing him.18

The point bean that people had lived and died here. To which someone had to be accountable for it. Or at least to have there story told so that people would know what had happen here. That way there lives would have meaning. There would be people that knew what had happen to them and why. Frank had made a promise to himself that he would at least give this to these poor people in respect for them having lived. It was not that Frank was such a hard butt it was just that he had very strong conviction. This right now means that the Mccoy had to know something about what had happen here. Weather they were evolved or not. Even if it was not them directly they still knew something and he was going to find out what it was? To Frank it was far more of a crime for something like this to happen. With know one even seeming to care about what had happen to all of these poor people. It was as if they were no more than an old dinosaur’s dig. Then trying to find out what happen to people and a lot of people at that. Why there could even be a serial killer on the loose and no one cared. Especial that Miss Lonita who they all just call Nita who was suppose to be such a big CSI person. Plus there was that Mr. Terry who acted so high and mighty the so called Knives expert who had not really done a dang thing that he could see anyway.19

In going back over the history of the land there Frank had found out that it was as Mr. McCoy had said there family had own this land for well over a hundred years. It had always been a farm it was giving to them by the Indians’ or Native Americans as they want to be called now. Plus the fact that it had also been given to them free and clears from the United State Government which could never be taken away from them. This was a document that did not have any lope hole in it either. He also found out that they didn’t ever have to pay taxes of any kind on there land are anything that was on it. Although they had been paying taxes for as he could tell for at least 50 years now. This case was getting stranger by the minute and Frank was even more intent on find out what was up with these McCoy’s. He was also able to find out that this was something that the Government had fixed up so it didn’t matter how much time had passes or passes this would stay the McCoy’s land free and clear. Now this was really bugging him now just what was so special about these people that all this would have been done for them?20

Well the test came back to Nita and she was blow away for they told her that these bones were at least 100 or 200 years olds. Well this sure was going to open up a whole new can of worms’ for the poor McCoy’s for now there going to be a whole lot of new people were coming to see what was going on here. To start with there was this Doctor McCan that show up here with a whole crew of people to dig and poke around. Now he said that this was going to be what they would call a historical dig now. At least that what he said any way, Well this sure did not sit well with the police especially Frank. To him this was still a murder case and until he said other wise that is what it was going to be. The test was back on the knives two , and Terry friend had told him that it looks like that it could be Mayan or it could be even Egypt writing of old which he did not know about. Well this put Terry in a real tizzy for he didn’t know what he was going to do now. For he wants to know so badly what this was all about, yet he knew that this was going to bring even more people to the poor McCoy’s farm. He talks to Nita and they decide that they were going to just keep it as quite as they could. And after all the hoop la was over they would work on it together if the McCoy’s would let them any way. But first they would have to wait till Frank of the police would get him and the rest of his police out of the way, and gone from there place.21

Chapter 222

Now strange men show up from the government.23

The next day the three black cars and two trucks show up and they were from the government and had papers that. You might say told everyone to get the hell off the McCoy’s farm and not to come back. By night fall they had collected everything that was still out there they thought any way. Well this really got to Frank now more than ever he want to know what was going on. Terry and Nita were so surprise at this they didn’t know what to think. But they still wanted to know what this was all about. Everyone was told to stay off the McCoy’s place and leave them alone. With in two days there were fences up all around the McCoy’s farm. Which seem to be put there over night? Why this even surprise the McCoy’s but they were glad that at last everyone was gone.24

But they still talk to Mr. Terry and Miss Nita for they had become friends and they were the only one that seem to be on there side at least anyway. Now after awhile when it seems as if people the police and everyone else were going to be leaving them alone. Alice calls Nita hey would you and Mr. Terry like to come eat with us we are going to have a cook out. To which we would love to have you both to come to? Why I would love to, I will call and see if Terry would come with me. I am sure that it will be ok with him though, when is it that you are having it Nita is asks as she replies to Alice. Well we thought about having it in about two weeks. It would on the weekend so could you get back with me and let me know if you all are coming please? I sure will Alice I thank you so much for wanting us to come. I will be looking forward to seeing you again Nita tells her as she hangs up the phone. Well needless to say she drops what she was doing and calls Terry right away. Terry was sitting by his big desk looking act the pictures that he still had of knifes that had been found at the McCoy farm. For he had them in his trunk bottom of his truck, which had been build there just too hide stuff. That’s was all he had left of knifes the men from the government took all the rest. Terry answers the phone hello why hi there Nita was up? You want believe who just call me and invited you and me to a cook out. Terry thought a minute and said no who that Frank from the police? Oh hell no It was the Alice McCoy She tells him. “Are you kidding me “Terry answers? Nope not at all she said they would be having it in about two week so you want to go with me it will be on the weekend? You bet your sweet bippi I do. Just let me know when and I will pick you up and we can go together out there if that’s ok with you Nita? Why that will be just fine Terry I will call Alice back and tell her that we will be coming, and to get the exact time she want s us there. Nita tells him. That sound like a plan to me then Terry said as he hangs up the phone. She calls Alice back but Mr. Hank answers the phone. Well hello there Miss Nita has is things with you? They are fine thanks and how about with you she replies to him. Oh there are just Peachey now well here is Alice. Hello Hi It is me Nita yes I know I know your voice. Ok well I just want you to know that I have talk to Terry and we will be loving to come to your cook out. So when would you like us to be out there Mrs. Alice say to her? Well I think if you all could get out here about 6pm on Friday two weeks from now that would be great. Well than that is a go then, we will see you all then thanks again for the invite Nita tells her. Well Nita and Terry had been on pin and needle waiting to be able to get back out there at the McCoy’s farm To see if they might be able to finds out anything else about what was happen with them. It seem like this was the longest two week that there had ever been. Yet at last it was time to go Terry was at Nita early so that they could talk a little bit before they left. Well do you think that we will be able to find out anything Nita? I really don’t know she replies to him but I can’t wait to see if we can.25

When they got to the McCoy’s farm they were greet them with warm smiles. For they were really glad to see the McCoy’s themselves, Nita and Terry was glad to see them but for difference reason. They want to see if they could go back out to where everything was found and see could they could find more or at least get some more pictures of the place. After all the government men took the on they had. As they were driving out there they pass by the place and now it look really difference for the McCoy’s had gotten it all plow up and it had been planted , for you could see new plants coming up all over it. Yet they still were hoping that it would be ok to go get pictures and maybe poke around a little. They knew that they would have to play really nice to be able to make them selves to become really good friends with them before they even ask about it. Yet to there surprise Hank, Mr. McCoy asks them if they would like to work around the place and see what they could find out. All he would ask is that they don’t tell anyone and that they did not mess up there flied for it has as all ready been planted. They both said almost at the same time that they would love it. 26

They also told the McCoy’s that know one would know what they were doing. They would take special care not to mess up there field. Alice then told then that maybe if they could take a small vacation from there jobs, which they could come and stay with them and work that way no one could be getting suspicion of there coming and going. Wow!, that’s is a great ideal Alice, I think that I can do that very thing, Terry thought a minute them said that he could do that to. We will have to wait for about a week or maybe even two to make sure that everything at there jobs would be caught up and would have someone to take over for them. Well then Alice Replies to them that’s all set then just call me and let us know when you two will be come so we can have food and everything ready for you all. That’s for sure Nita said as she smile back at Alice. On the drive back Nita well that really took me by surprise them wanting us to come out here and work. I know what you mean about that Terry response to her. I wonder what this is really all about. I mean it seems like to be just a little bit too much for us to come out there and work, what do you think? Well in some way I agree with you, but then on the other hand we were the only ones that stood by them before and didn’t push them for any information on anything. So it just may be there way of let us know how much that they appreciate that by let us come and do our on work Nita answer him with a little bit of worry on her face.27

Well you are more than likely right, I am just I guess to suspicious of everything that I don’t have a answers for Terry said look and seeing the worry on her face. When they got back they work as fast as they could to get everything done so that they would be able to take off and go back out to the McCoy farm. But it seems like one thing or another was always come up. They had to post pone there going out there twice now. To the point that Alice said I tell you what just call us about three days before you know that you are coming for sure then we will be ready ok. Nita was glad that it had not made them mad and that they still were willing to let them come out there.28
