A few months went by and Karma's belly grew. No one said anything to her tho everyone wanted to know who the father was. One day Sandra walked up and smiled her sickly fake sweet smile and said, "Wow look at that fatty. she just can't keep her food down." she giggled, " I heard her thowing up in the bathroom, that poor, poor baby." she started to laugh along with her friends. Karma just pushed her out of the way and kept walking. 1

"Karma wait up!" laura yelled, "Come on Karma stop the stairs are icy!" Karma stopped and waited at the top of the stairs wondering what in the world Laura could want now. "Sorry I just wanted to talk with you. we haven't talked in so long. how are you feeling?" she asked. Karma just sighed and gave a sad little smile, "I am feeling like a train ran over me. my stomach won't let me hold anything down and my feet and fingers are swelling." Karma was half way down the stairs when she slipped and barely caught herself. "Oh my god Karma give me your hand plea-" Laura was interupted as Rich came up the stairs and picked Karma up and took her the rest of the way down the stairs. "That was a really bad Idea." karma wispered2

Rich slowly put Karma on the ground and looked at her sadly, "I know you said that you don't want anything to do with me, and I understand, but please give me a chance to explain. I know what I did was wrong, and I know that I hurt you, but I don't want to lose a chance to be a part of your life and a part of this child's -" Karma happened to look up just as he stopped talking, there standing at the top of the stairs was den, Sandras brother. "Rich you better get to class. I will make sure Karma gets to where she needs to go." Rich just looked at karma and let go of her hand. " See ya." he wispered. 3

Den slowly came down the stairs and looked Karma up and down, " You know you should really be careful-" "Karma lets go, we need to get to class." laura snapped, "Your not worth the time she spends on any of you." she said to Den. she went to grab Karmas arm when Den stepped in front of her. "I think that I need to take care of her right now. Get to class before I call the other teachers." Laura just looked at karma and karma just shook her head. she wasn't willing to get her friends in trouble. 4

They watched as Laura slowly walked away, glancing back a time or two to make sure Karma was ok. as soon as she got out of site Den turned towards her, "My sister loves him, just as I love you, why you stayed with him and chose him over me I have no clue but that baby is not going to come between them."
