"Stop doing that,"1

"Doing what?"2

"Looking at me like that."3

"Looking at you like what?"4

"I donno.  You just keep glancing over at me."5

"I do?"6

"Yeah.  It's like you're afraid I'm gonna dump another bottle of Advil down my throat when you're not looking."7

"Don't joke about that."8

"Sorry."9

Kyle and Carrie were walking in a park --the same park Kyle had 'proposed' in.  Since then, Carrie had only taken the watch off to shower.10

"How 'bout here?"  Kyle stopped under a tall oak tree, placing the picnic basket on the soft grass.  Carrie nodded and he layed out the blanket.11

"What'd you make for us?"  Carrie asked excitedly.  Kyle made their lunch!!  Who could ask for more than a man who could cook?  She plopped down onto the blanket, not waiting for his reply, and ripped the basket open.12

Inside were thick submarine sandwiches with tuna.  One of Carrie's favorites.13

Kyle noted the red wrisbunnych on Carrie's wrist as she handed him his sandwich.  He wrapped his hand around her wrist and looked from her eyes to the watch and back again.  Then, he smiled.  He smiled and leaned in, leaving a sweet kiss on Carrie's cheek.14

"He pecked you on the cheek?"  Cherrie laughed over the phone, "Isn't that a GIRL move?"16

"It was a nice gesture!  Just a quick little kiss."  Carrie said, defending the kiss she had found romantic.  It had only been their fourth.17

"No french??"18

"Cherrie!!"19

Cherrie giggled.20

"You are so...-"21

"Wonderful?  Beautiful? Charming? All of the above?"22

"Yeah, yeah."23

"Haha!  So?  Do you need help or not?"24

"Right!  So, Kyle is coming over to have dinner with my family..."25

"Horror of horrors!!!"26

"And I haven't got a clue what to wear, or how to control my parents."27

"Well, the clothes with be easy, but the parents...  I say blackmail.  If they don't behave, you'll flunk math this year on purpose."28

"Cherrie, I practically flunked last year, and I was trying."29

"Well, if they don't behave, you'll move in with Kyle."30

"They'll never believe me, 'cause I'd never do it."31

"Fine.  We'll just have to forget about the parents for now...  Moving onto clothes..."32

"I've got no idea!!  My favortie sweater is in the wash and--"33

"I'd go for casual, but a little bit dressier than regular dinner.  Maybe jeans and a sexy top that allows a bit of mystery."34

"A sexy top?  My DAD is going to be there!!"35

"So's your boyfriend."36

"Okay...so my dark jeans and my soft v-neck sweater?"37

"Um...how long are the sleeves?"38

"Full length, but I always scrunch them up past my elbows."39

"Perfect."40

"That was fast!  You're a real pal, thanks."41
