Fates

The world, as it has been known since the beginning of time, is the gods playground and us, humans, can merely fall prey of their powers...11

The gods had their hierarchies and nobody ever questioned that Zeus was, in fact, the ruler of them all. However, there was a minor detail that everyone tended to forget and perhaps it was best kept that way. Even Zeus couldn’t change the prescribed course of events, a course that was the exclusive domain of the three famous sisters…. Fate.2

These three ladies were stone cold, calculating, harsh and ruthless; they were totally heartless. Nobody ever heard of any of them ever having done a warm hearted action.3

Their unique powers controlled time, time and events for both gods and mortals alike. It was at their say that a new god was born or a man died. They were probably the most secretly feared women that anyone had to ever deal with. And it would be their decrees that would unravel the forthcoming events.4

Ares, god of war, hatred and bloodshed, had accidentally started a wager against his sister the all-loving Aphrodite, goddess of love and beauty. He claimed his dominion of power as being far superior to hers.5

She may appear very sweet and pleasant to the eye, but Aphrodite was not a goddess to be insulting. 6

Scorn is also part of love, albeit an unpleasant side of it, but none the less, a scorned woman always meant serious business, more so if she happens to be the goddes of love herself.7

She was ready to take on the challenge and prove her elder brother wrong. 8

They agreed that he would choose a victim and would work on them to the furthest extend of his powers and so would prove his claim.9

She would also pick a victim and again, using all her cards, she would make the most of her powers.10

It would be down to the rest of the immortals to decide whether she is or not stronger than him. 11

And the Fates were called upon, to witness the wager and decide who was in fact greatest.

  • I've always loved mythology, be it Greek, Norse, or Roman. I'd be interested in seeing where you take this, if you choose to continue your work on it. Good job, keep writing.

Sweet, is this going to be continued?! i loved the way you wrote this, so powerful and upfront, just like the characters/gods you are discussing.
