I'm eighteen in the tenth grade. I blame it on my father, fucking bastard. Anyway, I've been taking alot of art classes so getting up and going to this hell on earth won't drive me to my end. But, later I found out that it wasn't going to be the school that would do that. My end, will be her.1
I was sitting in the far left corner of the painting room at a unsteady wooden table painted blue and white, the school colors. That's when she approached me. She had black hair which had nasty brown patches all in it like she dyed it with her eyes closed. Her bangs were blond and parted to the left side of her face, blocking one eye from me. But, I can tell it was a bright hazel. Big white words caught my eye, then I read her T-shirt. 'DO WORK SON' What the hell does that mean? "Hey, can I sit with you. The girls I'm sitting with are very annoying. They don't know when the shut up and listening to the teacher." and without me answering, she grabbed a chair from the table in front of us and sat beside me. Her name, Ashley Callay.2
Later into the time we spend in the class that never seems to end, I noticed a little loop of silver wrapped around the right side of Ashley's lip. Very boring looking, but still I said "I like your piercing." She gave me a very cheesy smile, "Thanks! I like yours to." She stared at my lips, which made me feel uncomfortable. I hade two lips piercings. One on the bottom right side and one on the top left, both loops with two balls each. I think they make me look different, and I like that. Though, that's the most calm look I had since I first came to Camden County High. I'm known by other extreme looks I sported over the years. I'm the bald girl, weirdo with my eyebrows, yarn head, and pirate girl. I can explain the last one. My favorite skirt is very long and forest green. I love to wear it with my black and white stripe shirt, making me look sort of like a serving wench. But teenagers no nothing and mistake me for a pirate.3
I was deep in thought when Ashley stopped talking and looked at me confused. I didn't even notice when she started talking. "You okay?" She asked narrowing her eyes and wrinkling her forehead. "Ya, I'm fine. Just alittle tired."4
So, that's how I came face to face with my end.5
