Collision- Chapter 1 - Part 3

The car parked and a medium height blonde about sixteen years old, my age, came out she looked like such an actress that it made me a bit uncomfortable. I looked down at Caleb whose arms were crossed. I heard him mumble something under his breath but didn’t catch the exact words. “Hey Kay,” she called out as she walked towards Caleb. “Jen, what the he--,” but before he could finish his sentence a tall handsome boy with brown hair who couldn’t be any older than fourteen came up my driveway. Caleb looked up at me with pity in his eyes and then at the boy. He shook his head. Suddenly, the deep velvet voice I’d heard from him not so long ago turned into an annoyed deep tone. “What are you two doing?”1

"Tyler and I wanted to meet our new neighbor,” the blonde grinned and looked at me with her calm brown eyes almost as beautiful as Caleb‘s. “You had to bring the Cadillac?” Caleb questioned, staring at the car. “Yep,” she replied as she dashed up my steps in an instant and hugged me. From over her shoulder I could see Caleb shaking his head again. “Umm hi,” were the only words I could form when she let me go. “I’m Jennifer, you can call me Jen though, we’re going to be great friends,” she smiled, flashing her perfectly straight, white, celebrity-like teeth. I nodded and faked a smile, I was in total shock at the moment. Who were these people? What were they doing in my driveway? And why was this random girl hugging me? The jumble of questions in my mind overloaded my brain. 2

“Hey Caleb,” Tyler said when he reached Caleb‘s side. Instead of talking to Tyler he stared at him, Tyler stared back. “Sor-ryy,” Tyler said sarcastically. “Hey, Meredith. Nice to meet you.” I looked at Tyler with confusion, how did he know my name? Jennifer giggled with her hand over her mouth, she patted me on the back then ran back down the steps and to the car. “Tyler, get into the car. It seems like Caleb still has a bit to tell our future sis--,” Caleb interrupted Jen before she could finish her sentence. “JENNIFER,” he yelled. She put her hands up innocently “ok, ok,” she laughed getting into the Cadillac. Tyler walked towards the car, before entering the passenger’s side door he smiled up at me and winked. Before I could blink the car was already gone. 3

Caleb kept his eyes on the ground. He sat on my steps while I threw my backpack which was still on my back into my kitchen. I jogged down the steps and sat next to him. “What just happened?” I asked searching his face for some type of answer. He looked me in the eyes, then looked at the cement driveway. "I'm so sorry, they're just... I'm sorry," he frowned. “Please, I need to know,” I whispered, still watching his expression.4

Psssh. Whatevsss, it is very Twilighty. Or it started out being Twilighty because I wrote this part when I was reading the series. But, now it's not so Twilighty? More like my epic fail of a love life mixed with fantasy. Anyways thank you, love you biff. <333
