He was only two days old. His baby face was dotted with shiny red eyes and black button nose. He lived with his mom in the woods surrounded by the high misty mountains. The place was infamous island called Mysterious Dragon Land. 1
His name was Fiery. He was so frail that even fluttering bush would scare him.2
He tried to fly, but he had not enough courage to stretch his wings. Occasionally under the supervision of his mother, he would jump from the log. One day he noticed soft sweet smell waving with breeze. Sun was out and fog had almost disappeared. His inner courage started to grow and he decided to explore it but he was uncertain. That day he was feeling energetic. Enthusiastically he asked mum, ”Hey mum how come today I’m feeling full of energy?” He didn’t get any reply, torpidly he peeped into the nest; mother was still fast asleep. He decided to walk out of his nest and followed the pleasant smell. 3
Little dragon shook his body like his mom to scare the predators. A little plucky heart in his chest started to beat loud. He took a deep breath. Slowly one-step to another, listening bird’s song he walked to far away from the nest. The grass and leaves were wet with the morning dew. He enjoyed treading on them. Frogs, squirrels and other small animals came out to watch the strange little baby creature and followed his traces. 4
He was as little as hare and he was enjoying this venture. While he was walking through the wavy path in the wood he would try to catch his own tail. He found that game very interesting, all other creatures who were following him started to play, he carried on going around and around till he fell down and turned up side down on his back.5
Little bugs tickled his tummy. That playful act made his belly laugh. He was laughing so loudly that the birds from the neighbouring hills came to watch the fun game. Little robin tried to laugh also. Bumboo bear was amazed with that howling voice, but nobody wanted to stop him.6
There, in the woods, he found a bush full of blueberries. It smelt so nice, they were very soft and each of them was so tasty… Yummy…Yummy… He was eating and eating till his mouth and tongue become deep blue. While munching, he waved his tail with elation and his little paws repelled bumblebees and mosquitoes. 7
His poor tummy was full and expanded like a balloon. He decided to take a nap. He fell asleep next to the bushes and the day had gone.8
A few hours later he woke up. Sun was setting behind the mountains. This was the first time he saw the sun set. He thoroughly enjoyed it! It was getting darker. On the way home, the shadows of the trees covered his path with the darkness. He looked all around in the woods; all the creature had gone home. He was left on his own. There was no one to ask the way to his nest. He was lost. What to do, what to do? He started to search answer in his little head covered with beautiful turquoise crusts. When his mom needed light, she would make a fire. He tried and tried, He tried and tried, but, unfortunately, only few sparks came out from his mouth with strange and funny sound: Hick! Hick! Nothing happened. From the dark, between the branches, he saw strange dangerous eyes looking at him. Then turned on the side and put left pow over the eyes.9
His back was looking like a beautiful stone and spider decided to knit his net from the Fiery’s left ear to the right. 10
Mom was scared when she didn’t found him near home. She took a branch, lights a fire, and followed his little traces. She found him. Fiery was sleeping and snoring. On his head net full of night dew was sparkling like a crown full of diamonds. She gently touched a nose of little king:11
- Hey…sweetie…mom’s here…let’s go home…12
He heard his mother's voice shouting his name. He followed the voice and hugged her mum.13
- Oooooohhhmmmmmmm – Yawned little dragon. – That’s you mummy? 14
- Yesssssss…- Whispered mom.15
- May we sleep here, please…?16
- Noooo. We have the nest of our own.17
- But I am tireeeed…- He tried to be sweet little dragon.18
- I am tired also. Are you afraid of dark wood?19
- Who, me? – Jumped Fiery.20
- Then we can go home. Just follow me.21
- Mummy, may I hold your hand?

This is a very nice story, and you did a great job writing a story for the first time in English. It is a sweet story, and I loved it. Great job, and I hope you continue to write in English, I'd like to read more of your stuff!
Keep up the good work!

Dragons and things like that are some of the things I like best and I often read things that are posted on them on differant sites. I like to read stories on them too.
Your story is differant in several asppects though. It makes it seem as if the little dragon is like a puppy looking for something to do and that the mother dragon is a human sort of person carrying a torch looking for her baby.
This could be quite good and gets top marks for originality but I must say I am a bit confused. Anyway - good luck. -
Thank you Alora

A Delightful Dragon Tale.
Dragons are my favorite creatures especially your little Fiery dragon. He reminds me of a little child so curious but yet still attached to his mommy. I adored your story however, you managed to lose me quite a few times especially near the ending. I think with a little bit of work, you can really bring this out into an entertaining, fun and exciting story for children of all ages. I did manage to pick up on a language barrier that I feel was the problem here but I did still get the content of the story. Thank you for entering and best wishes to you in the contest.
