The Luckest Man in the World

There once was a man who just didn't have a thing except for a wife, two kids, and a mother and father. His name was Sam. He was a big man, but not to big. Sam had brown hair and blue eyes. He also had bad teeth that he couldn't fix and bad eye sight but could still see pretty well.1

He lived in a small house in the country. The house looked like it was about to cave in on them all. The grass hadn't been mowed for years and mice ran every where. 2

One day he was sitting out on the porch, of his tiny house, he thought "I don't have any money, hardly any food, and a tiny house hardly big enough for my family." So Sam decided to go out to explore the world. He went into the house and told his family..." Why should I be here when I have my life to live instead of being in this dumpy old house?" 3

"Well...." his wife started to say but her husband interrupted.4

" I don't care what you think, it's my life and I will do what I please."5

And with a big sigh his wife said "Don't forget your family, ever."6

That was the end of the night.7

That next day his mother packed him a lunch of some a sandwich with mayonnaise and cheese, some lattes, and a little cup of water.8

"Looks good Ma" as Sam hugged his mother.9

"Keep safe son" his Pa said as they embraced each other.10

"I will" as Sam was walking. But off in the distanced his wife little voice called out "REMEMBER!" But Sam didn't hear her he was to excited about what he would find.11

As he was walking he found a little boy, about 6,the same age a his son.   "Help me, Please" the little boy said.12

"What is it son?"  Sam asked13

" My legs caught" the liitle boy cried.14

So Sam helped him out of the little hole and the two became good friend.15

That next day...16

Sam and Billy, the little boys name, had traveled about fifty miles and were getting pretty hungry too. SO they went out to hunt with Sam's gun that he brought. They caught a rabbit and started a fire.  They cooked it and man it was a really good rabbit.17

But the farther they got from Sam family the sadder he got, but one day he told Billy.18

"Billy I have to go home, I just have to, I miss my family!" And Sam started to cry. 19

And that was the end of that he traveled all the way back to his house on foot which was two-hundred miles.20

As he saw his tiny house in the distance it was all fancied up with ribbons and decorations, and the grass was mowed, and he had found out they won the lottery with the ticket he had bought with his last dollar.21

He went inside and said"FAMILY I MISSED YOU!!!"22

But then something amazing happened he went over to his wife and and said" This was all I wanted money and nicer looking house, and more food but I'm not satisfied, I never needed these thing and never came to realize it until today,23

"I told you!" his wife said24

"Yes I know, but I didn't listen but now I know its true. Sam told her.25

And it was. He lived the rest of his life in peace and no matter what if they were rich or poor he always new one thing:26

!HE WAS THE LUCKIEST MAN IN HE WORLD! 27

Fact: No matter how much money you have or how much food... if you have a family you will be rich in those thing.28

    VERY NICE!

This is excellent, sweetheart. A lot of truth in it.
It's the people in your life that matter most; not how much money you have in your pocket. That's exactly how I feel about my AP family and friends. Thanks for informing me and sharing this. Great job!
    Love Pa
