Chapter 2 - YESTERDAY

Chapter 2 - YESTERDAY1

I got to live the middle ages last night, 'cause for some reason the electricity was no more. And there I was sitting next to a consuming candle, who never really did want to make any light, it kept going off at the very first little breeze, I think it was more of a distraction, than a source of light. Anyway, me sitting in the dark made me think about the past, the real past, the early times, when this candle thing was a very nice experience, it's funny how one thought can get you in another world, you make one connection, then another, and before you know it you're there, it's like magic. Ever realised that the world you end up in has absolutely nothing to do with the original thought that triggered this teleportation. You have to admit I'm wright, take me for example, first thought "how to keep the candle lighted", resulting world "1438 A.D. or somewhere close, with a whole in my roof the seize of a sun". 2

And I lost myself in there, after all what else can I do, I'm alone in the dark!, but after getting past the problem with the roof, and how could people in that time could fix it, not very different from now I guess, I started asking myself what is the past? Well, it depends on how you look at things, it can be the present, it can be the future, depends on when exactly you ask yourselves that, and at what period you're referring to, for example: let's say today is Monday, when you think about Tuesday, it's the future, if it's Tuesday, it's the present, and if it's Wednesday it's the past, and this odd and complicated mix it's the time. Can you stop the time? No. Can you evade time? Yes, there are two ways you can evade time, one it's easy, one it's hard, one is temporarily, one is definite, the easy one is taking a photograph, a photograph of yourself, in that picture you don't get older, definitely you ain't getting any younger, but time still works it's devastating  power, it may be ineffective against you in the picture, but it does affect the picture. As for the second solution, you got to coincide with history itself, you know what I mean, not just making it big, I mean be history, what is the first person that goes through your mind when you think about history, I know that I immediately think of Alexander the great, Napoleon, Hitler after these three names I begin to think at a period, and it's representatives, but the first thing that pops through my mind are those three names. Take music history, Elvis, The doors, Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Tupac, and that's it for me. If you ever come to realise this, you are truly immortal, someone that died and still lives...3

Author notes

I think you all got that by saying yesterday I meant the past, you can only guess what's next...
