Head or heart?

Hand in hand we slowly walked along the grass, the moon and stars shone sweatily over us. I looked over towards him and saw his red hair like a torch shining through the darkness. His bright blue eyes could be seen like a cats, shining carefree through through the mists of blackness, as he glazed adoringly into my eyes. 1

We stopped there with the soaking wet grass sweeping against our bare feet as he held our shoes roughly in one hand and took his other hand and placed it on to my hip. He brushed his lips gently against mine as we embraced in a passionate kiss. It felt like it was only me and him in the world at that moment, as I looked deeply into his eyes and saw his caring spirit en chance mine. "Are you sure you want to do this?" He whispered into my ear. I knew that I wanted to-though my heart pounded deeply in my ch east like it was my first time all over again. He was so sweet that I was purely not used to this. "Yes, I'm sure about it." I whispered back as i clung onto him as if my life depended on it. He grinned cheekily and took my hand as he led me to a small little box, set on stilts with no roof. It was perfect, and with the stars shining down on us like little glimmers of hope that this might actually work we kissed again a bit more passionately... 2

I felt my eyes burning as I tried to open them slowly. The sun was up and blazing brightly into my eyes as I tried to figure out where exactly I was. I heard birds chirp happily on the cool morning air, and distant car engines roared in the distance as I came to my senses. There next to me was him... Luke lay smiling slightly in his sleep, and I knew that even though Jade had said she accepted it that she would be hurt all over again by this. I felt tears run down my face as the guilt came to surface. I picked up my mobile and found a message from her asking if I was okay and to say that we'll be friends no matter what happened. But deep down I knew this was ripping her heart open. I knew that when she was writing this she thought I'd be crying on my bed thinking what to do. But no I was here, even though I knew it hurt her. I felt another hot tear fall down my face as if I felt her pain though we were miles away. I picked up my shoes and gently kissed Like, he stirred slightly but didn't wake. And then I did the only thing I could think of doing right then... I ran, with tears streaming down my face and my feet pounding hard on the wet grass, not caring where I was going as long as I left all the guilt behind. As long as I could stop caring and stop hurting people. And with that I was gone, away from him, away from her, away from everyone. 3
