Romeo&Juliet, modern prologue.

Two different gangs, sharing the same fate,
In downtown Toronto, we have our case,
Keep the peace, or it will be too late,
If we do not intervene, we may face,
A total loss of hope, understanding,
For two young lovers, this might be their end,
Can their passion and faith, be demanding,
To cause a truce, and make all their friends blend,
The trail of these two lives intertwine,
Yet none of their attempts will cure their hate,
The death of these two, does not undermine,
Here, the time we have we shall demonstrate,
So listen up those all present and fear,
The ends of their lives are coming so near.1

Author notes

In English we had to make a modern version of Romeo and Juliet.
this is my prologue, and I'm pretty proud of it.
It actually got a pretty high mark on it.

(mine took place in downtown Toronto, which in some areas it's pretty bad.)
