The wind blew softly on my face as I breathed in the fresh morning air. The sun bathed the field with a golden glow and the birds song softly from the trees . This is where I belonged...with a horse underneath me and the air washing my face in the gentle breeze. As I nudged the horse on into a canter I felt all my troubles leave me, all the self centred people and all the idiots who bitched behind my back faces passed before me as I cantered past them and left them far behind me. My head felt empty and I sat there enjoying the feeling of nothingness and power that I had right there, right then. As Janet called me in and I jumped over a derelict log I knew that there was still hope there out there that I would find the perfect horse for me to buy, and could do this everyday and enjoy the feeling that nature gave to me. I slowed down and walked back in to the yard and got into the yard, and as I jumped off Ton Toe with the satisfaction of riding still in my head I smiled happily. This is what I liked doing best. Riding across the open fields. I took the tack of Ton Toe and walked back to the tack room smiling, since anything can really be possible.1

Though it may seem such a simple thing, i still rember this day like it was yesterday. The feeling of happiness, power and hope filling my head is one of the happiest moments that can happen. I only hope that everyone feels this in one moment or another, because it's something that we all need to keep going through a harsh life
