Sitting in the back
In a row by myself1
The silence beside me
It is the story of my life2
Even in the hall
The looks that are passed
Filled with more than an inch of scorn3
I am the single
I am the odd
The misunderstood
The dreamer4
Where once there was
A cradle of beliefs
A chance to do more5
It has all fallen
To the back of the room6
Where others refuse to sit
A plague has fallen7
In a row by myself1
The silence beside me
It is the story of my life2
Even in the hall
The looks that are passed
Filled with more than an inch of scorn3
I am the single
I am the odd
The misunderstood
The dreamer4
Where once there was
A cradle of beliefs
A chance to do more5
It has all fallen
To the back of the room6
Where others refuse to sit
A plague has fallen7
Author notes
So, the third daily prompt... and this is what came out of it. I don't exactly know what to say about it. I think it came to be this because I've been listening to the song "Miss Invisible" by Marie Digby for a couple of days now.
#287 - "Use these two metaphors in a poem: “An inch of scorn” and “A cradle of beliefs” "

Wow. Neat poem. Very creative and well worded. Nicely Done. I especially love the part "Where once there was/A cradle of beliefs"
