Player Roles: 20
Batsman 21
The goal of being a Batsman is to stop the Bowler from hitting the Wicket. This is done by deflecting the ball with the bat; this is also how you score runs.22
The Batsman will change positions from play if the score of runs is an odd number. Once the Batsman that is face up is out the one face down takes his place. This event does not take place when no ball is rolled.23
Bowler24
The goal of being a Bowler is to hit the Batsman’s Wicket, and get him out, also to prevent him from getting runs.25
The bowler changes every 10 over’s, be sure to change him out with a new bowler after 10 over’s.26
How to Play Cricketer:27
The game Starts with a coin toss, whoever wins the toss, chooses whether they want to bat or bowl and which team they want to be, Australia or India.28
So let’s say you’re the winner of the coin toss, and say you choose to be a Bowler, and then the other player is the Batsman. Well you would pick out 11 people from team that you picked earlier, now you’re going to want to pick some of your best Bowlers to be on your team because after every 10 over’s you need to switch to a new bowler, but your also going to want to get some good Batsman since the team you pick now is going to stay as your team through the entire game.29
Okay, to set up as Bowler you’re going to want to pick a player from your team to be up to bowl first, for all intensive purposes let’s say you picked Australia as your team, and that you picked the player Mike Hussey to be first Bowler (this is an example you do not need to pick these two choices) 30
I trimmed the card a bit so that you can see it clearly, as you can see Mike is a good Bowler, we'll get to what the numbers mean in a bit.31
Now that we went through what to do if you were a bowler, let’s go to the other side, if you choose Batsman instead. For this example we'll say that you picked India for your starting team. Since you’re a Batsman you are going to want to pick 11 player cards, like the Bowler, and make sure that you have a decent amount of skill for batting, and bowling. Too start, you are going to want to pick two Batsman, this is because while you’re playing, you have one Batsman at the wicket, and one Batsman on the other side of the Pitch, the reason for this, is because after the ball is struck by the Batsman, they run back and forth along the Pitch, and in the event you get 1 run the other batsman takes the place of the previous, also if your Batsman gets out, the one on the other side of the Pitch takes his place, and you put a new Batsman face down.32
Let’s say you picked these two players, Sachin, and Mahendra, and you decide to have Sachin as the face up Batsman, and Mahnedra as the face down Batsman.33
Now that both teams should have their players in place, I am going to move on to an example of a play. The Bowler picks a stance card, and the Batsman does the same. Let’s say the Bowler picked the Googly card, and the Batsman picked the Leg Glance card. Now the Bowler rolls a die, let’s say you got a 6 so according to the stance card, that would be a +7 to their skill bonus, which in this case is 8, this would give them a total of 15. Now you do the same for the Batsman that is up, in this case Sachin Tendulkar, so you the Batsman roll one ten sided die, and in this case get a 7, which would be +6 according to the stance card, so 4 +6 would be 10. Since the Bowler got a higher number then they would use their Bowler card (Diagram 1), the Bowler would then roll the 10 sided die again, let’s say you got a 6, looking at the card this would mean that the Batsman would get one run (how unlucky for the Bowler). Now on the other hand, if the Batsman had won you would look at the Batsman’s card (Diagram 2), the Batsman would then roll two 10 sided die, let’s say they got a 16, this would give them 6 runs (what a good Batsman, or a very lucky one anyway) This style of play would continue for the entire 50 over’s per team, at the end of the game whoever has the most total points is declared the winner. Have fun and good luck.34
Ties:35
In the event of a tie, both players will roll a die, whoever rolls higher wins, and then rolls again to compare to their card to see what they can score or get out.36
Over’s:37
Once 50 over’s has been reached the players will switch from bowling to batting or vice versa. Also, once both teams have played batsman and bowler the game is over and the score is totaled and the team with the highest score wins.38
Outs:39
When an out or wicket is achieved, the batsman rolls to see how many runs they get.40
No Ball:41
When a no ball is achieved, the batsman team adds one point to the number of runs they get during this play, the bowl is then redone, and the 2 scores are then added together.42
