Chapter 31
New kid, I thought. I was confused either way, so I kept quiet. I was getting weird stares as I passed some of the members. I only recognized one face, Demyx. “Hey Xiggy, I’ll take her from here!” He said cheerfully. “Alright Demyx, be in there on time.” He ordered. “I’m sorry but you’ll have to wait with me ‘til the superior wants to see you.” He said again still cheerful. He grabbed my hand pulling me with him. I was still getting weird stares as we passed. I didn’t until now realize that we were in a huge waiting room. We sat at the very end of the room.2
Everyone switched to staring at me with interest. Even a guy that sat a little ways away from us looked up from his book to look at me. He had silver blue hair and dark blue eyes. He didn’t bother me nearly as much as the hostile stare I got from a guy with dread locks. Demyx studied my face and then looked at the guy. “Oh that’s Xaldin, don’t worry about him, he looks at everyone like that.” He assured me.3
It was quiet except for a few murmurs. A guy with pink hair and blue eyes walked up to me. He looked at Demyx, “The superior wants to see her, now.” He said switching to looking at me while he said now. Demyx stood up, “Okay.” The other guy put his hand up, “Don’t worry, I’ll take her.” “Okay,” Demyx sat back down, and whispered in my ear, “Don’t worry It’ll be okay. Just answer honestly and answer his questions. Don’t get smart either.” I nodded. I stood up and the pink haired guy led me by my wrist.4
“By the way my name is Marluxia,” He said as we walked, “So how were you the only survivor on your world?” “I don’t know,” I said in my normal low and quiet voice, “And what do you mean the only survivor.” “You were the only one who survived the rade of the heartless.” Marluxia said looking down at me, I guess checking for sadness. I felt none at all, I hated everyone there and had no friends. I knew my face showed none when he chuckled. “What?” I asked confused. “You seem to not care at all.” He said still laughing. “I don’t really care they got what they deserved.” I said in a heartless voice. I looked at his face from the corner my eye. He seemed to find me interesting.5
We arrived to a large door and Marluxia pulled me through it. In the room there were almost what it looked like ten foot chairs. Everyone that was in the other room was on their own chair. Marluxia soon left me to go sit on his chair. A man with long silver hair, golden eyes, and darker skin spoke up, “So you were the only survivor.” He said calmly. I nodded cautiously. “How?” He asked with interest. “I seriously have no idea.” I said back. A guy with blue hair and X shaped scar on his forehead spoke up, “It must be sad to have your family eliminated like that, seeing as you look a good bit younger than most of us.” “No not really.” I said back. “Oh really?” He said back with as much interest as the leader had spoke to me with. “Yes really, they got what they deserved.” I said coldly. I looked up at Demyx who mouthed the word “Dang”.6
Larxene was snickering. “You seem like you don’t care at all.” Xigbar said half curious and half surprised. “I don’t really.” I said heartlessly. He smiled. The leader spoke up again, “Well what can you do?” He asked. “I don’t know,” I said seriously wondering myself. “Well we’ll find out in training won’t we,” the other one cut in. “Larxene.” called the leader. “Yes?” She said back. “You’ll be taking care of her from now on, especially since she’s so young.” He said. “Okay doesn’t bother me.” She said surprisingly cheerful. They all jumped down and Larxene walked over to me.7

I wonder if her parents will put up missing posters and whatnot to find her, or if they're actually that callous that they don't care that she's gone...
