Before earth had even opened her eyes there was a sister planet, Vesuvius. Nestled between Mars and Jupiter she shown with her own internal light. Human forms would know her as nothing more than rubble, and astroid belt. But she once bustled with life. 2

Four large land masses scatered from east to west along her midrift. isles huddled together in the northern and southern regions.3

her air was balmy and warm. dim light and low gravity led to large eyed and tall peoples. Smoothcreamy skin that glowed with a faint green light, due to the fungus used as a main sorce of food. 4

each sapient had three equaly long fingers on the top of their hands and two smaller grasping thumbs on the lower section of their hands. they had feet much the same and were great at climbing and grasping. They have two arms and legs but thinner more flexable bones. their torso is longer but lacks a belly button as they are born through meditation. -three parents focus on the traits tehy wish to nurture from themselves and plant the seeds of hteir thoughts and reproductive systems into vesuvius, the child is uncovered able to walk and speak three weeks later- 5

the sapients faces are long and oval. large eyes that retain light easily. a mouth but no nose as they can taste smells. they speak in a soft language of rolls clicks and emphasizing words. they use jestures and body language as a vital part of ccommunication. 6

they harvest the glowing fungus that provides nutrients and light to them and their homes. they eat mostly fish and have no large mammals or reptiles but hundreds of thousands of different kinds of birds, many are pets and used for short distance travel. long distance travel takes time, ships and walking. they are relitivly new as a cultur, but the entire planet, due to the little amounts of land, are the same culture and language. 7

they harnes the wind and water as a soruce to help cultivate the land but do not use cars or lights or machinery. they read and write with highroglifics and punctuations color plays a large part in the writings meaning.8

they have no major illnesses and long lives. each individual is expected to produce and train at least one but no more than two offspring.9

they use plants and the internal life force of the planet to heal illness.10

they have no war but a council of elders that judge any undisierable traits and remove them from the individual through composting and regenneration.11

this is the story about how their world came to an end
