Fallen Angel

She was not white and gold, like the heavenly angels. She was not black and silver, like the hellish demons. She was exactly in between.1

Half demon, half angel, with copper hair and copper eyes and horrid gray wings. Not the beautiful, perfect, feathery white wings of an angel, nor the black, bloody, leathery wings of a demon. But grey, broken wings, with feathers at the top, that thinned until the bones were only covered with a thin, leathery layer of skin at the bottom.2

And her copper eyes were not pure and full of goodness, like the golden ones of the angels. Nor were they cruel and full of hatred, like the silver ones of the demons. Her copper eyes were filled with an unkown sin, and an undying longing for repentance and forgiveness.3

And, in all of her misery, she would never die, unless killed. She would age slowly, until she reached a certain point, and then her body would be frozen in time.4

She thought she would be alone forever. Her mother, the angel, was forbidden from taking her half-breed daughter to heaven with her. Her demon sire didn't want her. So her mother gave her to a church to be raised on Earth.5

Her name was Lilith.6

Author notes

This was origially part of the story "Among the Fallen." I decided that the two writing styles clashed, so I seperated them.

It is well written and the details strong. There is raw emotion and tender sweetness that underline it. It sounds like it could be turned into a very interesting story. Good luck and thank you for entering my contest.
