Background: Cid is the youngest son of Maynard and Tabitha Divine. He and his older brother, Marco were raised to not complain or speak unless spoken to. Cid comes from a long line of members part an organization called Sequentia "S.Q." It is believed to be an evil corporation that the does a lot of the government's dirty work. Cid and Marco have been trained to follow their parent's footsteps. Their whole life, they've known the meaning of secrecy and sacrifice. His parents were very strict and used tough love to build the boy's character. Despite his anti-social attitude, Cid was always extremely popular in school. He was brilliant as well, so much so that he skipped a grade. His parents made him participate in sports, which he also excelled in.
When he was a senior he met Fiona Nichols, a freshman. The two of them dated on and off a lot. He would often take her for granted, cheating and lying. But once he matured some after high school, he began to realize how much he cared for her.
In SQ, the age to begin basic training is 16. Like his brother, he entered the first year he was eligible. Much to his objection, Cid was given a partner, Raziel Tegan. Apart from Fiona, Raziel became the first person outside family that Cid trusted.
Six months before the story begins, Raziel was given a solo mission by SQ that he did not return from. The opposition of SQ known as AVA, had killed him.
Before hand, Cid took his job with S.Q. very seriously. But after the death of his friend, Cid took on a new outlook and dedication to the job.4

Personality: While his brother Marco's personality was naturally optimistic and kind despite their parents methods of raising their children, Cid did not have much compassion for people in general; He does have deep feelings for Fiona but has always been unsure about how to express them. Cid is very, very quiet. He actually hates talking. His family has a lot of money, but does not flaunt it. He is a very experienced in many things. His father taught him how to survive at Nature's mercy and he is a fantastic hunter. He is very much an advocate for traditional and old fashioned learning. Sometimes odd, but very VERY smart. Cid doesn’t trust people. He distances himself from all of Fi’s friends and he comes off as a snob. (Which he kind of is.) He also has a lot of pride and it is hard for him to accept help of any kind from anyone.5

Physical Appearance/Style: Cid is 5'8 and works out a lot. His whole family is blond and he has his mother's dark blue eyes. Cid dresses laid back in t-shirts and jeans. He has his lip pierced and his legs and arms are covered in tattoos. They are symbols that have to do with SQ.
