The Love Everlasting

Sitting on the edge of a fountain in the middle of a grove lit only by the dying rays of the sun, a young girl waited. An hour earlier she had received a message from a boy named Neo, the bassist in her uncle's band, asking her to meet him here. He wasn't due for another half hour, but Sakura had been waiting here since the very second she got the message. for although she was reluctant to admit it, she was actually head over heels in love with Neo. From  the very day she had first laid eyes on him, she had known it. But for the whole two years Sakura had known him, and many more before that, it had been too dangerous to admit it. There were people who had wanted to hurt her, and would seize upon any sign of attachment to another person to use it against her. But now she was safe from all that. And so were the ones she loved and cared for. Her sisters, her brother, her uncle, her friends...1

"Neo." she whispered tenderly to herself, savouring the way his name was pronounced, conjuring an image of his face in her mind. Finally, she would be able to admit to him how she felt. And if he didn't feel the same way...well, it was something too awful to even consider, so was the strength of her love. 2

Behind her, she heard the rustle of the leaves and she spun around. There, emerging from the forest, was her love, her soul mate, her lifeline. Neo. His blond hair fell gently across his face and neck and the dyed black tips contrasted with the pure whiteness if his shirt. The silk material clung lightly to his toned stomach and chest, and made Sakura's heart leap wildly. As usual, his jeans hung loosely on his hips, held up only by a tightly drawn belt. She gazed wonderingly at him, feeling him look back at her in the same manner, and Sakura suddenly became notoriously aware of what she had chosen to wear top meet him, a black tank top and dark purple ruffled skirt. Her legs felt decidedly bare as the wind swept it from side to side. She licked her dark lips nervously, unsure of what to say in the face of such radiant beauty. In the end she decided in saying nothing. The silence which lay between them contained a bond so strong that no words were needed, and in that moment Sakura was reassured that he would not turn her down. He felt exactly as she did. As their eyes met, her emerald green ones looking deep into the haze of his grey irises, she felt a surge of desire, and ran forward into his awaiting arms. She put her lips to his and held him as close as possible, wishing for this moment to last forever, the moment when finally she could express her need for him.3

Neo, in return, pressed back against her, her slender form fitting just right into the curves of his own. He ran his hands down, sliding them over her hips so he could wrap his arms around her and hold her close so she would feel safe, like he had yearned to do every time she had cried or been hurt or been scared in the past.4

Finally the two lovers pulled apart, each as breathless as each other, their lips feeling swollen and their faces flushed with heat.5

"Sakura, I....my life without you is...you are so special to me..." Although his sentences came out in bits and pieces, the look in his eyes said it all. Smiling gently, Sakura placed her fingers across his mouth, tenderly caressing his lips.6

"I know, my love, I know. I feel the same." 7

Infected by her smile and the joy in her eyes, Neo's face split into a wide grin to match hers. He bent his head slightly to touch his forehead against her own, and together they shared in the gift of love, bathing in each other's warm touch and drowning in the feel of one another's breath dancing on their skin, both repeating the words 'I love you' over and over again in their minds. 8
