Cassie Ann cut off a large chunk of butter from the stick and tossed it in the frying pan. It gave off a sizzle and the pleasing aroma of butter filled her nose. Ahhh delicious butter, she thought to herself. Her eye was drawn to the butter in the open tub. The creamy yellow swirl of delicious butter beckoned her with its sweet sirens song. Her mouth watered as she licked her lips.1
The sound of a crash came from the other room. Snapped out of her food induced trance she glared at the hallway leading into the den.2
“What are you doing in there?” Cassie snapped while digging through the drawer by the sink. 3
For a brief moment there was no response. The two girls aged 7 and 5 must be whispering to each other now, debating what they were to tell they’re older sister.4
“Nothing Cassie!” The older of the two girls, Annabelle cried out with the most innocent voice. 5
“Don’t break nothing!” Cassie called out to them.6
“Okay!” Young Annabelle cried out with the same innocent voice she used before.7
Satisfied Cassie returned to the business at hand. She carefully peeked around the room and when satisfied she was alone she set to work. She dipped the carefully selected spoon from the drawer into the tub of creamy goodness. She raised the spoon to her face. She looked around again, just to be absolutely certain she was alone. Sure now she stood alone in the empty kitchen she set to work and inserted the spoon into her mouth. She turned the spoon in her mouth so the creamy goodness now rested on her tongue and sucked down on the spoon to speed the melting process.8
Sweet… delicious… butter. She moaned deeply to her self lost in the lust of flavor.9
Suddenly there was a tugging at her pant leg. Small young Jason looked up at his older sister, whom he adored, with confusion in his eyes.10
“Cassie?” He asked those big round blue eyes affixed to her face.11
Cassie stared down in horror, if Kevin ever found out about this…12
”What you doing?” Jason asked innocently.13
Cassie slowly pulled the spoon from her mouth and set it down on the counter and gently she spoke.14
“Go play with your sisters.” 15
Without a word little Jason left the room clutching his light blue security blanket tightly.16
“God I am fat.” Cassie exclaimed after her young brother left. 17
She looked down at herself. She had no stomach to speak of, her slender 15 year old frame only weighed 100 pounds on a good day, but at the moment she felt like a whale.18
There was no time, she had to finish soon. Glancing at the clock Cassie Ann set about her work in the kitchen. First she tossed eight pieces of lunchmeat into the pot of melting butter. For this particular meal she had chosen two slices of honey roasted ham, two slices of turkey breast, two slices of salami, and finally two slices of pastrami. She then reached into the drawer again and pulled out a stainless steel spatula. With rapid quick and brutal motions she used the spatula as a cutting device to shred the meat. Next she reached into the spice rack and selected several bottles nearly at random and dashed their contents into the heated pan. Quickly she returned the spices to the rack. Next she quickly moved the fridge behind her, she rummaged through it pulling out two bags of shredded cheese and a bottle of hot sauce. She haphazardly dumped half of each bag of cheese into the pan then set to work with hot sauce. She shook the bottle hard and liberally spewed its contents into the pan. Next she reached into the cabinet and reached one small can of mushrooms, one small can of jalapeños, and one bag of pork rinds.19
Time running out there was no time for safe portioning of the last ingredients they must all be dumped in the pan and they must all be dumped in now. Quickly she set to work stirring her concoction much in the fashion witches of old fairytales brewed their potions engineered to turn handsome men into toads and slugs. 20
The sound of the doorbell came suddenly and surprised Cassie, she had been so absorbed in her concoction she had lost track of the time. Quickly she grabbed the 30 dollars neatly pinned to the family bulletin board by the phone, left there by their loving parents before they left for the evening. She rushed down the hallway through the den and up the stairs to the ground floor. The children in the den stopped they’re revelry upon the toppled couch as they’re older sister rushed past them paying no heed to the destruction they had caused. Enticed by curiosity the children left they’re imaginary castle atop the overturned couch in pursuit of they’re sister.21
Now running up the steps at top speed, the front door in sight, Cassie outstretched her slender arm reaching for the door. Finally she had reached the door and without a seconded of hesitation she threw the door open. The pimple faced pizza delivery boy did not need to speak; Cassie had this situation under control. Without a word she tore the two pizza boxes from the boy’s hands and tossed the 30 dollars out the door and slammed it shut. 22
Cassie closed her eyes tightly and breathed deep the aroma of the pizza, for a moment she felt as though she was running through a field of delicious cheese past giant walls of bright red pepperoni. Then she opened her eyes and looked down at the three innocent faces peering up at her with eager anticipation in they’re eyes.23
Annabel the oldest of the three children stepped forward.24
“Is that pizza?” She asked with her big blue eyes wide in amazement.25
“You’ll get it when I’m done.” Cassie said softly.26
“But we’re real hungry…”27
Young Jason rubbed his tummy to illustrate the point.28
Cassie Ann’s eyes darted between the three children contemplating her next move.29
No more talk she decided. Cassie sprinted past the children and began bounding back down the stairs; behind her the children emitted an anguished cry in unison. Cassie leapt down the last few steps and made a mad dash to the kitchen, the patter of six little feet pounding behind her in pursuit. Cassie barreled into the kitchen slamming the door behind her. There was no time to lock it, with one free hand she grabbed up the frying pan filled with her special concoction. Now she dashed down the other entrance into the kitchen and down another dark hall. Her room was at the end of this one, she was almost home free. Behind her the crashing of pots and pans in the kitchen, the children were catching up.30
Cassie in anticipation for just this occasion had left her bedroom door open, a move that proved to be most wise. She rushed into her room, haphazardly setting the pizza and pan on her bright pink bed. Pivoting on her left foot she turned back to slam the door. Annabel leading the charge in front of the other two children was gaining ground and almost to the door when Cassie slammed it in her face. Cassie quickly turned the lock and leaned against the door as it bumped forward as the three children slammed into it.31
The aroma was already beginning to have its affect on Cassie and she was certain it was doing the same to the children. She quickly opened the first pizza box, she did her best not to focus on the smell of the decadent cheese, she had to concentrate to prepare the meals. The changes to her body already taking form, she picked up the pan and poured half of its contents over the pizza. Quickly she opened the other pizza and applied the spicy concoction, then tossed the one pizza on the floor in front of the door.32
She was just in time, her door crashed open and the three children fell together on the floor in front of the box of pizza. Quickly Cassie Ann and her siblings descended upon their meal. Guttural moans filled the room as they messily devoured their food. Their bodies began to contort and expand as the shoveled the odd concoction down their gullets. Petite young Cassie Ann’s body began to loose form and she grew into a immense ball of fat. Her glossy eyes gazed down at the three balls of flesh and hair furiously devouring their meal faces smeared in a red dripping mixture of sauces and cheeses.33
It was so nice to spend a night with her family Cassie happily thought to herself shoving another handful of slop down her throat. 34

I was like, what?! And I have that kind of twisted mind so at the end I was like, smiling a bit, but it was more of surprise than anything. Great job! Imagery was there and everything so I definitely saw it lol.

Pretty good! I was kind of confused at the thing Cassie cooked up. There were a few grammar mistakes but the description of the pizza made me want some. Also, the salvage behavior of the kids made me cringe in disgust. But the fact that one meal made them instantly fat didnt sound real.
It had it's pros and cons put it was alright. -

yeah, I've done better. I was just shooting for absurd and I think I achieved the goal to that end.

Not bad. You clearly have potential as a writer. Although this story didn't really grab me, not my style, I was impressed by your descriptions and sentence structure. You did well with that.
