I found this in my notebook.

I found this, I don't remember writing it, and it's not all that good, but I really like the metaphors I used.1


Ever staring eyes on pale, unfinished cheeks.
The flooding pink on the cool, fragile faces,
Innocence lost in the rosy, pouted lips.
Simply put them on the shelf;
Your dolls are through playing.
Simply put them on the shelf,
Store them away;
Their frozen smiles and shattered porcelain hearts.2

Just put them away,
'Cause on the shelf
The cracks don't show.

    Lady, this is absolutely gorgeous. It's short, which I like, and the great thing is that I was able to pick up your meaning within the few words. The last three lines made me laugh, cuz I really didn't expect it. x]
