* Shine * - Chapter One

Taemin's POV:2

We're on our way to a concert right now. Key's listening to music , drumming his hands on his lap, Onew is talking on his phone (his gf I think), Minho is sleeping, J. is playing a card game, and I'm on my laptop. In a way it's boring, but in another, it's kinda exciting.3

Lately things have been okay. We are getting a little more famous day by day, inch by inch. I don't even know when you can acctually call yourself 'famous'. How can you tell?4

"Hey, gotta stop at a gas station right now" yells Lee from the very front of our bus. He's pretty much the coolest guy in the world. Basically, he's one of our band members! (Minus the whole 'singing on the stage' thing)5

I drowsily shuffled out of the tour bus, and into the semi- okay-looking gas station.6

Inside all I could see was a huge array of pop bottles in the far back of the room, and a ton of chips and candy in all of the shelves. Typical, but boring.7

I was tired and VERY thirsty, so i figured i get some water for the trip. You would think we'd have some with us on the tour bus, but no.8

In that isle there was a surprisingly pretty girl about my age. Her hair was pulled back by chopsticks, giving a clean look to her face. She turned a little bit, giving me a pretty clear look at her. Her face, skin, everything was perfect. In every way. Her dark eyes began to shimmer and sparkle when she gazed at me.9

Clearly unable to speak well, she muttered, "You...Y...Your Taemin."10

"Yeah, I am. And who might you be?"11

She couldn't talk, but it wasn't because she was freaking out about me beiing there, she just looked awe-struck and astonished.12

"I'm Yaomi." she finally whispered out.13

"Well then, I'm pleased to meet you, Yaomi."14

As I shook her hands, she turned away just a little.15

"What's wrong?" I asked her16

Then I saw a tear fall down her perfect cheek.17

"No...nothing. I just never thought that I... Me out of all people... would meet you. And here! At a gas station."18

At that point I really had no idea what to say. So, I just gave her a sweet smile; it was enough for her.19

She asked for an autograph, and I said okay, even though I don't really have one yet. But hey, I'm only 15. Give me a break.20

Just then, Key came in and said, "Yo, Lee just filled up the bus tank. Time to go." Then he noticed Yaomi.21

"Hey, whats up?"22

Her jaw just slightly dropped, giving an open mouthed grin to both of us.23

"K, be right there" I said half-mindedly.24

So far, the convo had been kinda pointless. So, I had to throw some heart-throb action into it all. So, then I said, "I have to go, but it was really nice meeting you.", grabbed her hand, and gave it a little kiss. Hey, don't laugh at me, it was a last minute thing.25

I ended up not getting the water, because it would kind of ruin the whole 'romantic goodbye' thing.26

I speed walked out into the open, hot air and jumped up into the bus. I looked to see all the guys staring at me.27

"Mmmm hmm." J. mumbled.28

"What?" i replyed29

"You got that look."30

"What look?"31

"The love-struck look. That girl..."32

"Whatever."33

But it was true. Painfully true.34

"You better not get that pretty little head cocky there, Taemin. Fame can get to you."35

But none of them had any clue what was waiting for them in the future. 36
