CHAPTER SIX2
Once the laughing stopped they got down to the serious business of how they were going to stop the hunters. 3
“So! Caianya asked, so how are we to stop them before they demolish the whole town?”4
“Frankly I do not know Caianya the last time I came across them was a hundred years ago.” Looking down at his hands for a moment looking up, “They destroyed most of the city I was in at the time.” Shame written on his face “A lot of innocent people died that night I didn’t stay to help stop the hunters I should have done. I walked away and never thought twice about it, not until today that is. Caianya reached out for his hand squeezed it tight for a moment.5
“Stephen you’ve been given a chance to redeem yourself we have a town to save so tell us what we should do?”6
“On my way back I went into your local church and filled a bottle full of holy water. I...”7
“I thought it was dangerous to vampires...I mean us.” Looking at her Stephen replied8
“No that is just a myth a story they cooked up to make us look evil trouble is, born vampires use to live along side humans. It’s not made clear in our history books there was some kind of misunderstanding either a vampire killed a human by accident or the other way around. Cutting a long story short a war broke out and has been going on ever since.”9
“I never thought there were vampires born for that matter I never believed vampires existed not until now that is.”10
“Yes mostly vampires born keep to themselves they live among humans, and humans can’t really tell the differences there are a few but as you have seen they are the ones connected to the hunters.”11
“Do these people know what the hunters are?”12

“I doubt it very much if they did I doubt they would work or guard them. We have only one mercury gun so we have to make our attacks count.”14
“How do we do that with only the one Stephen” Caianya asked looking very worried.15
“I haven’t figured that out yet but we have a couple of hours to do so.” 16
“And if we don’t then what?”17
“That isn’t an option Caianya.” Stephen said worriedly.18
“I think I know how” Jessie said as she walked into the room.19
Stephen asked softly “Jessie I don’t think...”20
“Shut up” snapped Jessie crossly “While you two were co- doodling or what ever Stephen you said that the hunters are what we or humans consider vampires to be right?”21
“Right but what...”22
“I said shut up for a moment and let me speak will you.”23
Stephen smiled to himself he had to give Jessie credit he had never thought of her being so strong emotionally 24

This is good...
You could use Caianya newfound powers of persuasion... if they are to battle, she could use it to gain control of them and turn on each other. Granted, she may lose some humanity by doing that, but it's an option.
The mercury gun is good as well, but this would be a great time for Stephen's sire to arrive.
He could help them here.
