-I want some nachos1
-You can’t have any chips.2
-Chips aren’t chips when they’re nachos3
-Yes, they are.4
-Is flour still flour when it’s bread?5
-No.6
-Where’s the logic in that?!7
-Well, a flour is a flour, unless it’s a flower. So if a flower is a flour, then it is a flower in bread. But if a flower is a flower, it’s not a flour in bread.8
-What?! Well, is wood still wood when it’s paper?9
-Yes. Wood is wood. Except if it’s a would. Then it becomes a legal contract.10
-How d’ya figure?11
-Well, a would is a would is a would--that’s an intent. And when signed, an intent becomes a legal contract. So if it’s a would and a would and a would when it’s a wood then it’s binding.12
-No it’s not, it’s retarded.13
-Ah, but a retard is a retard, until it’s a ritard. that slows down. Then it’s Italian. 14
-Huh?15
-A tempo…you know, music? 16
-Oh. (thinks a moment) Well a tempo is a tempo, unless it’s of the Ford variety.17
-Exactly! Now you’ve got it! But chips are still chips when they’re nachos.18

I'm glad you like it! I actually had this conversation with my brother (so I can't claim the funniness entirely) which I then doctored up a little...just so it cycled back.
I changed retard to ritard because that was my original intent; only I spelled it wrong. A ritard. is short for the Italian word ritardando, which is a musical term for slowing down. So it has the same root as retard, but not quite the same essence. Hence the tempo/music bit, which is confusing unless you know which word I meant...and (roundaboutly,) that's why I changed the spelling.
Thanks for the comment! -
extremely funny
* i was going to say that normally circular logic starts and ends at the same point...but then i noticed that it cycles from the third line. Niiice
* i have to say. I adore this piece.
* then i was going to ask why you changed retard to ritard, given that they mean the same thing (according to google, as i'd never heard of ritard before). but then i realized you homonymed every one except chips. but thats okay because they're nachos
